All About Hair

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all fine. I am getting ready for Easter with lots of good food and family for the day. Always something to do around here, (which I love).

So at Color Me Creative today we have a new challenge, and it is a great one. It is "All about hair". Okay I hear some of you groaning! I know at times hair coloring can be quite the challenge, it has been my biggest challenge while coloring. So after many months of frustration and not coloring images I love because their hair intimidated me, I finally broke down and started the All About Hair class at CMC. This class is awesome, because it covers every type of hair you can imagine. If you struggle at all with hair, you should check this out.

In the mean time, practice, practice, practice and then enter one of those practice images in the challenge hehe!.

So once again the rules are the same, you must use alcohol markers or colored pencils. Any image will do, just make sure there is some hair there!

We are sponsored this week by

Also we have our monthly sponsor.

Here is my card. I used an image from Saturated Canary, she has some fabulous hair on her images. I colored her with copics. Now my hair is not perfect but trust me I am improving greatly from months ago. As I said practice, practice, practice as that is what I am doing.

I hope you will give this challenge a try, whether you love to do hair or struggle with it, we would love to see your creations. Go wild and do blue hair or stay simple with short hair, as long as there is hair!!

COPICS USED:
Hair:  E35, E25, YR 23, YR20
Dress:  R24, R22, R20
Shoes:  E77, E74, E71, E70

Thanks for stopping by! I am looking forward to seeing what you create.

Girly

Good Morning All,

Today at Sweet Stampin' we have a new challenge, a favorite of a lot of you..."Girly". Yup everything sweet, feminine, fun, pretty, pink, lace, pearls you name it.

Again we have two wonderful sponsors.  Our weekly sponsor is Krista from Saturated Canary.

Next we have our monthly sponsor.

Here is my girly card. No I did not go with the pink thing, thought I would keep it fun and girly.  I tend to like bolder colors especially red and blue.

This image is from Sassy Cheryl. I colored her using Copics. She is definitely a happy girl! Just like me, I will dance when it actually feels like spring around here hehe.

So I hope you will join us for such an easy challenge, just remember you must use a stamp on your creation. Any one will do, digital, rubber, clear, etc.

Thanks for stopping by and if you celebrate Easter I hope you have a great holiday, if not I hope you enjoy the weekend.

Hugs!

About Time

Hi Everyone,
I know, about time I posted something huh? Been a busy girl, went away this weekend to North Conway, NH with my husband, yup just the two of us. Had a little rest, relaxation and outlet shopping, just what I needed hehe!
Then I come home and surprise, Easter is this weekend how did that happen? So I must shop, bake and clean the house for company...all right shop and bake who am I kidding we will run around that morning and put stuff away haha.

So anyway here is a card I made but not sure I am feeling it. I wanted to use softer colors than I normally do just to try something different but I don't know if I love it. I do love the image though, she is a cutie from Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored her with Copics and added some Stickles to the balloons.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to be around to some of your blogs this weekend!

Spring Colors

Good Morning Everyone!

We have a new challenge at Color Me Creative this week and it is Spring Colors! Just in time since I am sooo sick of winter. I want to ditch the heavy coat, get the salt off my car, open my windows and let the fresh air blow in. All right maybe I have a few more weeks before that happens but hey I can want it hehe.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Digi My World

and don't forget we also have our monthly drawing for Oozak.

So just to review the rules are simple, pick any image hopefully spring or easter and color it using
your alcohol markers or colored pencils. Must use spring colors! So simple, I hope you will join us.
Here are a couple of pictures for inspiration.

Finally here is my card! Using a great image from Digi My World.

She is a cutie. I colored here with Copics using the following colors:
C9, C7, C5      YR 23, Y23, E35    RV17, RV14, RV13, RV10    Y15, Y13, Y11
E11, 00, 000, R20    YG67, YG63, G20.

I also used some Glossy Accents on her to give it some shine.
I hope to see your card in the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by,

Easter

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. This week it is Easter. So you know the rules, any image will do as long as you have stamped on it somewhere digital, rubber, clear it does matter as long as there is stamping involved.

We once again have two sponsors, our monthly sponsor

We also have our weekly sponsor and this week it is Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

So here is my card, I know you have been waiting patiently to get to it, hehe.

She is a digital stamp called Easter Carly, from Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored her with copics. The bunnies are a punch from Martha Stewart. I love the purple on her, not sure why but I think you have to have purple for Easter.

I hope you will join us in this challenge since Easter only comes around once a year it might be something different for you to create.

Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hello

Good Afternoon,

So today I made a card just for fun! I was looking for a certain stamp yesterday and came across this image from Saturated Canary, well guess what? I needed it, yup definitely needed it, not wanted, needed! HAHAHA! How sweet is she. I thought it was perfect for Easter or Spring. I colored her with Copics and lots of them. I used Distress ink for the clouds, first time with my clouds not too bad I think.

I added some lace, ribbon, flowers, etc, well you get the picture...ta da here she is.

I will be back this weekend with my DT posts, hope you will stop by again and check them out. Have a great night!

New Baby

Hi Everyone,
Long time no post! Just been so busy this week have not had much time for crafting. I am sure you can all relate. I was very excited tonight though to see daylight much later since we changed the clocks last night, makes me excited for spring! Of course we need to get through the rest of the month without another storm!

So my card today I made for a friend of mine who just became a grandmother for the first time. I think that deserves a little recognition!

I used a digital stamp from Pink Gem Design called Baby Boy Teddy. I think he is adorable.

I colored him with Copics. The carriage is a new die I got this week while shopping with my sister. We won't say how many dies she bought.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be around a bit more this week and do more commenting and crafting.

Bugs, Butterflies and Reptiles!

Good Morning Everyone!
Another wonderful weekend upon us. Love weekends, even if I do eat a bit too much on them. Went out for a great Italian dinner last night. I just love all Italian food, the bread, pasta, wine, cheese, etc. Also my husband made cinnamon swirl french toast for breakfast, all warm and gooey with butter and real maple syrup, can't beat it. Of course I will have to go the gym every day next week but it was worth it hehe!

So today over at Color Me Creative we have a new challenge, Anything Goes with optional twist of Bugs, Butterflies and Reptiles! So that means you can color any image, any way you want as long as you use Copic Markers, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils. So how easy is that?

Our Wonderful Sponsor for this challenge is Digital Delights by Louby Lou.

Also there is a monthly drawing from all the entries that month so you have another chance to win a gift certificate from Oozak.

All the Design Team members used images from Digital Delights. Here is my card:

I colored him with copics using YG25, YG03, YG000, YR 24, YR23, Y15, Y11. I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes. The Leafy Dies are from Marianne Design. The flowers are brads that I added a gem to. So I hope you will join us in this challenge. You have until March 15th to get creative.

Thanks for stopping by,.

Embossing

Good Morning,
A special  hello to my newest follower, I hope you will stop by often. The best part of having a blog is making new friends and seeing all the great ideas out there.

Today at Sweet Stampin' we have a new challenge for you:  Embossing! Now at first I was like hmmm love the look of embossing but I am not that creative with it. So I went simple with my embossing, but let you tell you, the other DT members were amazing! So many creative ideas, definitely will inspire you.

Our sponsors are Sir Stampalot who is giving away 2 Molly Bloom Stamps to a random winner and there is also a voucher up for grabs at the end of the month from The Ribbon Girl.

Here is my card:

I used this lovely image from Saturated Canary, which if you love Saturated Canary images you can recognized them right away hehe! I kept it relatively simple by really just using all pink and white. I added some Stickles to her dress which is hard to see int he picture. My embossing was from an embossing folder which I just used in the background. Added some gems to her hair and she is ready for her big day lol!

I hope you dust off those embossing folders and join in with us, would love to see what you come up. Either way go check out what the other girls have done here as they are well worth the visit.

Thanks,
Kim
