Valentine Struggle

Hello Friends,

Hope everyone is staying warm, the weather here has been frigid! Thank goodness for my warm house and fireplace! I hear the south is really struggling today with snow and ice and they are not equipped for it like we are here in the New England states.

So today I am posting a card for Valentines that I used a La La Land Marci stamp and colored her up no problem, but then I just struggled putting this card together. Did you ever do that? It just seemed like every piece of paper I picked or placement was just wrong. I finally managed to come up with something!!!
So here she is.

Texturize It

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great day. I spent a wonderful day at a Spa with 5 of my girlfriends getting facials and massages, you cannot beat that, let me tell you. We followed that with lunch and a drink! I highly recommend this for a bit of stress relief haha!

But now I want to share with you a new challenge over at Color Me Creative, it is Texturize It. Meaning color any image (using alcohol markers or colored pencils) but show some texture, you know like hair, fur, grass, etc.

Here is what I came up with

This is an old digital image from Pollycraft which I colored with my copics. I used colorless blender and a rag to texturize the hat, then I used a Stipple effect for the mouse's fur.

Mouse:  C7, C5, C3, C1, C00
Coat and hat:  RV17, RV14, RV13, RV10

Saying Goodbye, last post

Hello Everyone,

So sadly, today is my last post as a Design Team member for Sweet Stampin'. Unfortunately, I am not able to keep up with all my obligations at the moment. Life has gotten a bit busy at this time and something had to give.  Hopefully though I will sail right through everything I have to do and will be more creative in the future.
Before I show you my card I would like to take a moment to thank everyone at Sweet Stampin', especially Abi who was so awesome to work with.

I know they are having a DT call and if you are interested I would highly recommend them as one of the best to work with. It was my first Design Team and I enjoyed every minute of it. So throw your name in if you are interested, you will not be sorry.

But for now, I am still part of this new challenge which is My Favorite Style. Yup that is right you can shows us your favorite style, whatever it may be.

Here is what I came up with.

I was not sure what my favorite style was but I will say I almost always make square cards and almost always use Stickles on everyone of them. I also tend to like lots of color.

I have had this digital image for some time now and for the life of me cannot remember where I got it, of course I forgot to label it. I think it may be a Mo's digital image but not a 100% sure. If you know please tell me. I colored her using my copics.

I hope you will enter and shows us your favorite style, just remember to stamp somewhere on your card.

CMC Anything Goes

Hello Everyone,
Yup that is right two posts in one day, it must be a new year hahaha! I am on a roll, don't try and stop me now, of course let's see how good I am a month from now....

So at Color Me Creative we decided to ease you back into things with a very easy challenge, "Anything Goes", yes I know it is everyone's favorite none of us like to follow rules hehe. We do have one rule though, you must use alcohol inks or colored pencils to color your image.

The prize this challenge is quite awesome also, you pick it!!!! A $10 gift certificate to the digi store of your choice.....now that is sweet!!

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year!!! I hope it is a prosperous, healthy one for all. I apologize for not being around much, just enjoying the season and all it has to offer. You know, family, food, and fun. Of course now that the holiday season is over I could afford to go with a bit less food hehe you know what I mean?

So today, because it is snowing ridiculous amounts around here with no end in site for at least another day, I made a card for my older sister (much older hahaha)! She is going to be 60 this month whoa!!! The stamp I used is from Kenny K Downloads. I colored her with copics.

I am sure my sister will love it!
