CMC Anything Goes

Good Morning Everyone,

It is bitter cold and windy here in Massachusetts today. Definitely feels like winter is here. I don't mind because I have no plans on leaving the house haha. I am however, starting to pack for my trip to Rome, Italy. I cannot wait, we leave the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I have never been to Italy so this will a great experience for me.

But enough about me, over at Color Me Creative we have a new challenge and it is everyone's favorite, Anything Goes. Just remember you have color using alcohol markers or colored pencils. It is that simple.
Here is what I did.

This image is from Digi My World who is sponsoring this challenge and gave us these great images to use.
I colored mine using Copic Markers.

Girls Hair: E18, E15, YR20
Dress:  YG 25, YG03, YG00
Boy's Hair:  E35, E31, E50
Pants;  E44, E43, E42
Shirt:  R89, R85, R83

So I hope you will join us this challenge for a chance to win two great prizes.
Thanks for stopping by.

Celebrate!

Good Morning Friends,

Today at Sweet Stampin' we are Celebrating! Sweet Stampin' is 4 years old, Happy Birthday!!! And in honor of such a celebration we have extra prizes to give away for this challenge. So you have the opportunity to win four different prizes. They are as follows:

Monthly Sponsor:   The Ribbon Girl
Weekly Sponsors:  Bunny Zoe
                              Crafters Companion
                              Wild Orchid Crafts

So you cannot win if you do not enter, so this weeks theme is naturally "Celebration". So lets see your creations using that theme and don't forget to stamp something since that is what we are all about!

Here is what I came up with:

I chose to celebrate the holiday season and all the fun things to do this time of year. This sweet image is from Saturated Canary, which I colored with my copics. The lamp post is a Tim Holtz die. The Poinsettia and greens is a Marianne Creatable die. Hope you try something of your own.

Winter Theme

Hi Everyone,

I know look at me all active on my blog this week. I love weeks like this that I actually have a little time to do what I enjoy. So let's enjoy it why we can, we all know this won't last hehe!

So at CMC we have a new challenge and it is an easy one:  Winter Theme Colors and/or Image. How easy is that? Remember you just have to color with alcohol markers or colored pencils.

Check out my card.

This sweet stamp is from Stamp Fairy who  happens to be our sponsor for this challenge. He is just so cute.
So naturally I colored him with my Copic Markers.

Bear:  E59, E25, E33, E31
Hat/Scarf:  R29, R27, R24, R22

I kind of stippled his fur by making dots with the markers (a technique I learned from Suzanne from CMC in one of her classes). The polka dots on the hat and scarf I added using a Sharpie Poster Paint fine tip marker. I also used a little bit of BG10 on the snow but then covered it with Stickles icicle.

So I hope you will join us for a chance to win a prize from Stamp Fairy for this challenge and to be entered into our monthly drawing for a prize from Oozak. So come on get coloring!

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments.

Christmas is Coming

Good Morning Everyone,

Yes the holiday really are coming. I already started my Christmas shopping this week. Well since I am going away to Italy in less than 4 weeks I figured I better get a jump on some things.

So that brings us to our newest challenge at Sweet Stampin' which is naturally, Christmas is Coming. So get out your Christmas stamps as we all know one of the rules of the challenge is you must stamp something.

This is what I came up with.

I used a rubber stamp that my husband actually picked out and bought me for Christmas last year. It is from Penny Black called gift of giving. I colored her with Copics. I used a memory box die for the clouds and a Sizzix die for the holly and swirl. The tree is punch from Martha Stewart.

We have our weekly sponsor which is Cuddly Buddly and our monthly sponsor The Ribbon Girl. So you have two great chances to win. I look forward to seeing what you create.

Thanks,

Kim

Guest Designer at Fussy and Fancy Friday

Hi Everyone,

So exciting news, I won the challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday last week so now I am their guest designer for this challenge. I must say I was bit nervous to create a card as a guest designer because I figured the pressure was on, but then I remembered how kind all of you are so I just let my creativity flow! The challenge theme was Black and Blue. This is what I came up with.

This is a cling stamp from Penny Black called ...in the snow. How cute is he. I am sure if you colored it pink it could be a she lol.
The wonder of it all is also a rubber stamp from Unity Stamp company that I stamped on black paper and embossed with white powder.  I colored the image using my copic markers.

Hope you like it and I hope you will go check out the challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday so that maybe you too could be a guest designer.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kim

Free time what is that?

Hi Everyone,

So I finally have a card I did just for fun. Seems like I never have any free time lately to do what I want to do not what I have to do, if you know what I mean. But hey that is what keeps life interesting I guess.

So I made this sweet card using a digital image from Saturated Canary that I colored with my copics. I used some stickles and some glossy accents to give it a bit of dimension.

Can you believe it is almost that time of year!

Thanks for stopping by,
Kim
