Hi Everyone!

Here is my card:

This super adorable image is from our sponsor Louby Lou Digital Delights called  Claudia Cow. I thought she was very cute.

We also draw a winner every month from all the entries for the month and the sponsor of that prize is:

So I  hope you will join us for a chance to win two great prizes. You have until July 19th to post your creation. Thanks for stopping by, and go check out what the other DT members have done.

Butterflies and Bows

Good morning,
First a special Happy Birthday to my daughter Ashley!

Next we have a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' called Butterflies and Bows. Of course we have two sponsors again, our weekly sponsor is:

And our monthly sponsor is:

Here is my creation.

The stamp is from Loralie Designs. I colored it with copic markers. Reminds me of my sister and I, yes with our big bums lol!!! The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. The bow on the hat I stamped twice and cut it and used some foam tape so it is 3 dimensional, hard to tell in the picture.

So I hope you will join us in this challenge. Just make sure you stamp something and follow the theme! I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Meanwhile, go see what the rest of the DT came up with, they are  so talented!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Kim

Family time

Hello Everyone,

Hope we are all well. I am doing fine. I wanted to share a project with you that I just finished and to tell you the story behind it all.

Let me start by saying that I made this for my mother in law's sister (Marie). My mother in law has cancer and has been in and out of chemotherapy for two years. That means every week she needed  a ride to chemo and back. Well her sister and her sister's friend volunteered to go with her on most weeks. I would drop her off and they would meet her there, stay with her for however long it took, which was usually 2-3 hours and then take her out for lunch or coffee and drive her home.

We appreciated this so much I wanted to make her something special, so a couple of weekends ago we went as a family to New Hampshire and had a great time. I took a ton of pictures thinking I would make something with them. I have a xmas wall hanging that I made at my favorite craft store that Marie loves so I used that as the inspiration and came up with this.

Ironically the title at the top I just happen to have and while we were away Marie made a toast that said to Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow! So how could I not incorporate that into this wall hanging.

The frame I got at Michael's on clearance (sweet). The paper is Graphic 45 A Place in Time. It is hard to tell but I used a lot of 3M foam tape to add layers and dimension to the picture.  The leaves on the top are wood that I used gold embossing powder on and the leaves on the bottom are a die. The flowers are Prima

I am giving it to her this weekend, hopefully she will like it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Daughters

Hi Everyone,

Here is a sweet little card I made for my oldest daughter's birthday (Ashley). Her birthday is not until next week but I actually got this done early. I cannot believe she is going to be 26 it is just crazy. I look at her and see the face of a 2 year old, I don't get it. But anyway I have two daughters and they both make me very proud to be their mom. We have a lot of fun together.

The image is a digital image from Sherry Baldy, I love the glasses on this one. I colored her with my copic markers and of course added some Stickles for some sparkle. The purse charm is a must for Ashley since she does love her purses hmmm wonder where she got that from...

Well hopefully she will not see this post before her birthday lol!
Thanks for stopping by.

Cute and Cuddly

Good Morning!
So it is Saturday and today is my birthday!!! I will not disclose my age but let's just say old enough to know better but young enough not to care haha!

I pre posted this because I am up in New Hampshire with my husband and some of his family just enjoying a great weekend together. A little rest and relaxation especially for my husband who works in a school system and school just ended yesterday. Of course he works all summer but it will be a bit quieter in the summer.

So today at Sweet Stampin' we have a new challenge, CUTE AND CUDDLY, go on say it...awe! I know, I know, so many cute cuddly stamps to choose from. The image I used on my card is from the Stamp Fairy as they are our weekly sponsor this week. Don't forget we also have a monthly sponsor which is
The ribbon girl.

An here is my card!

How cute and cuddly is that image! I colored this my copics. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Inkadinkadoo.
So get out those cute stamps and join us this week, I would like to see your creations.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave me a little love you know it is my birthday!
hahahahahaha.

Have a great weekend.

Wish I could color like that!

Hi Everyone,

Today at CMC we have a new challenge and it is Summer Inspired Colors, blues, greens, oranges and yellows. We are sponsored this challenge by Milk and Coffee Digital Stamps, thus where I got my image which is Charlotte the Nurse. We also have a monthly sponsor Oozak so you have two chances to win great prizes.

All you need to do is enter our challenge using any image and color it with alcohol markers or pencils and follow the theme of summer colors. Easy!

Here is my card:

I colored her with Copics:

Hair E25, E29, E31, E50
Boots and blouse YR68, YR65, YR61
Dress BG07, BG05, BG01
Skin:  E11, E00, E000, R20

So there you have it, now lets see what you create!

I also have some exciting news to share with you.

Do you ever see a card and think, "Wow I wish I could color like that". I used to think that all the time.
Ok well sometimes I still do because some of you are absolutely amazing, but for the rest of use who are not so gifted we need some extra tips and practice. So here is your chance...

This summer the so talented Suzanne Dean from Color Me Creative Classroom is offering a discount off her copic classes. This is a great deal, if you want to learn how to use those copics to their fullest this is the class for you. It is all on line and she even checks out your work, comments and helps you to become a more talented artist.

I have taken all her copic classes because I became addicted, but she teaches the very basic up to the very advanced. You will learn different techniques for blending, shading, highlighting. How to color hair, skin, clothes, and other objects. You do this at your pace on your own time what is better than that? I still refer to all the information she gives out in these classes.

So if you want to improve your coloring skills check out these classes, I am sure you will not be disappointed, whether you take one class or all the classes you will love them.

Thanks for stopping by and if you sign up for a class tell  her Kim sent you!
