In the dog house

Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing this super cute card I made using the Dog House Shaped Die from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I also use the adorable Ollie-Pop Clear Stamp Set for the lovable Corgi. This was so easy to create by using the die set. I just cut out the pieces in colors I love and glued them together. I added a bit of distress ink on the house just because.

The corgi, grass and dish I stamped, colored with my copics and then cut using the die set. Easy Peasy. Think of all the possibilities with this set! Would make an awesome party invitation or a congrats on your new puppy! You get the idea!

Fun Boxes

Hello, Kim here today sharing with you how to create using this fun box die! You will see from the pictures is has a cut out to insert a small gift, candy, or egg but you could also omit that and cover the hole and use it for something else entirely but with Easter and Mother's Day right around the corner this would be a super creative way to add a little surprise to your special day!

So these are all the dies, I am showing you what I cut with plain cardstock and then what I cut with patterned paper. Obviously you can mix that up and use any paper you like!

I used Bella Flowers paper pack which is perfect for this time of year! So many pretty flower papers it was hard to choose.

After die cutting all the papers I went to work scoring the top and bottom pieces to prepare to glue together.

Now as for putting the bottom together it took me a minute but once I figured it out it was so easy. So slide the bottom piece with the tabs under the bigger bottom piece as shown. Practice once first then I added some glue on the tabs and slid it in.

That's the hardest part, the rest just falls into place.

Next I added a square on the bottom to cover up the workings.

On top of that I glued in the cut out with the hole in it. Just add some glue to the sides and slip it in.

Now the fun part, adding the all the pretty papers!
After I added some papers I glued the top to the bottom.

For the bow, after it was die cut I curled the paper a bit using a any pen or poker, just so when gluing it down it stays rounded like a pretty bow!
Then I glued all four sides to the back middle.

Added the bow center to the front and wrapped  in around to the back and glued it down. This gives it a nice finish.

Finally I added it to the top of the box along with the other ribbon piece and we are done! So now you can create all kinds of sweet boxes with surprises inside!

Carrots, carrots, carrots

 Good Morning,

Today I am excited to share with my adorable carrots . These carrot boxes are from Pixi Dust Designs and are so much fun!!! I have made multiple colors and styles and want to share with you how!

So this is the die set there is also the bunny butt dies too. You ca see what I die cut. Two of the base, 4 backings and 4 carrot fronts a circle and two leaves. I suggest you use at least 80 pound cardstock to give you a sturdy carrot.

Then I folded on all the score lines of the base and burnished them. The dies cut so well it is very easy to work with. I then glued the carrot fronts to the back and proceeded to glue to the base. You then need to cut a circle from one side, the side with the longer top as this will be the front of the box.

I then added a small square of acetate to the back to make a window. This way I can fill the carrot with candy or what not and it won't fall out.

Then I glued the flaps and connected to the two bases. Easy peasy. You can then add the leaves as many as you like but careful not to glue over the hole if you want to put a string through it. I then put together the bunny butt and attached it to the carrot. Done!

I made others that I filled with cany and attached a name tag to so they could be a place card holder for easter dinner.

Squawk Talk

 Good Morning Friends,

Today I am sharing another card using a stamp from the newly released sets over at The Rabbit Hole Designs. This is Squawk Talk.  It comes with multiple images and sentiments! So  much fun, you even have the option to purchase the dies to cut them out with.

To make my card I used the Modern Luxury Stencil to create the background. Stencils are such a fun inexpensive way to make custom backgrounds. I inked with distress oxides in Peeled Paint and Fossilized Amber. I then stamped and cut out my image to which I added a bit of color in his feathers.

I popped him on my card using foam tape along with the sentiment. Super cute and super fast! Hope you will go check out this latest release and don't forget to use HOLIDAYCARDSBYKIM at checkout for a free exclusive gift.

Simple Hello

 Good Morning Friends,

Today I am sharing my latest creation for The Rabbit Hole Design using the Mum's the Word Ephemera along with the Hello sentiment from the 1 Line Peony and the clouds in my coffee stencil.

I stenciled over black cardstock with distress oxide ink Hickory Smoke and Lost Shadow. I also used a glitter paper as a backing to add some sparkle. Next I attached the flower. The sentiment was stamped and then I used an embossing powder to make it white and bright!
I love the total look, what do you think?

I created my card using a metallic cardstock to give it some shine. But obviously this could be created so many different ways, but no matter how you do it, it will be fabulous. It is a like a mug collection that doesn't take up space ha!

My Sweet Petunia Collab with TRHD

 Hello Everyone,

Exciting news to share. The Rabbit Hole Design and Misti have done a collab today. I was gifted these Misti products to try and create with:

 Misti Lite

Petunia Platform

Misti Power Mag

Petunia Platform Mini Pawn Magnets

Let's just say they are awesome. The platform is magnetic which allows for multiple purposes but if you use the Misti Lite on top of the platform you can easily line up your stamps to precise spots on your card. Also the Misti Lite allows for both rubber and clear stamps. The power mag is exactly that! So strong while the mini pawns are easily moved around.

I paired these up with The Rabbit Hole Designs newest release using the 1 Line Peony and Southern Sassy Sentiments. Using the Misti Lite I was able to line them up exactly where I wanted them. And also my sentiment placement was perfect.

This particular stamp is so versatile you will see it used a lot. These sentiments are the best so go check them out here:

and use code HOLIDAYCARDSBYKIM for a free exclusive gift.

Also follow @holidaycardsbykim on instagram to participate in the hop as both companies are giving away a $50 gift voucher.
