Office/craft room photos

Hi Everyone,
Happy Wednesday to you. I am posting early because I have a lunch/shopping date with my sister Kelly today and I cannot wait. We are going to our favorite craft store "Absolutely Everything" and spend our gift certificates. How fun!!!!

I do not have a card to post today but I am finally posting pictures of my my office/craft room. We just moved into this house about 10 months ago. Prior to moving here, my craft stuff was everywhere, in boxes in the living room, bedroom, basement, etc. Well lucky me this house came with a beautiful office, which I have managed to fill with mostly my stuff. Of course I do use the white desk for my real job and some of the stuff in the drawers is personal paper work but the rest is all me hahaha. I am still trying to figure the best way to oragnize things. It is taking some time but we are getting there.

                         Enter Please

My lovely office, lots of baskets and boxes to hide it all.My cardstock is out though that is convenient.

My desk which I cleaned just for you!
The wooden cases to the left have the rubber stamps I use the most.
My dad made these for me, originally to hold paper but I like the stamps in
them, it keeps things clean looking.

My work desk in the back. It all looks so neat in the
pictures, I am glad you cannot open the drawers lol!

Just a little portion of ribbon, most of it is in my drawers.

The view from my desk along with a paper tower behind behind the door.
Of course the two lovely ladies on my wall are my daughters college graduation pictures.

As you can see my office is the first thing you see when you come in my front door so I cannot be too messy, yeah right!

Well I hope you enjoyed these pictures. I tend to feel that a blog becomes a little more personal when you share a piece of yourself. That and I am nosy and love to see other peoples craft rooms so I can steal their storage ideas.

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to comment on my office, I am always open to some advice on how to make it more efficient. I also want to add some more personal things in here, I feel it is a little too office like. I want to make it feel more fun.

Monday, Monday

Happy Monday All,

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I did. Had a nice family dinner yesterday. My dad was here, he is (79) and my inlaws joined us for a nice baked ham and some macaroni and cheese. Now let me just say that two men, both in their late 70's can eat just as much as teenage boys! Bless them both and their appetites because I do not know where they put the food they eat. Neither one has a weight problem, meanwhile, if I smell food I gain a pound hmmm go figure haha.

Today's card I made just because I got this digital stamp and had to use it. It is from Funky Kits called Victoria. She is just the cutest. Reminds me of when my girls were little.

I wanted to focus just on the image so I kept everything else rather neutral and soft. I rather like the way it came out. I colored her with Copics...no surprise there! I used Spellbinders Die, some ribbon and pearls and a cute little flower. Hope you enjoy.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Use three different papers.
The Crazy Challenge Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you will visit again!

Fun and Bright

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all having a good weekend. So here is a funny story for you. Last winter my daughter was rear ended and had some minimal damage to her car, being a lease though she must get it fixed. Of course she waited to last possible minute to do so, which means she just picked up her car yesterday. New bumper, trunk fixed, etc. So she is out today running errands and yes you guessed it, she was rear ended while waiting to pull onto the highway. Is that just not the way? I mean it is funny because no one was hurt, but she is not finding it all that funny. But seriously what are the odds of that? Oh well, just wanted to share that in case you thought you were having a bad day haha.

So today I am posting a fun and bright card. The image is a digi stamp from Squigglefly called Breezy and the sentiment is from Graphicat. I best most of you are too young to relate, but maybe you know someone in my age group that knows what this is all about!

I colored her with my copics. Used my Spellbinders dies to cut her out. I also used memory box die for the flourish. The paper was from my scrap bin and the ribbons from my stash.
The colors do not come out that bright in the picture but they are bright purple/fushia, orange, blue etc.
Hope you find this as amusing as I do.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Color Me Creative Lots of laughs and bright fun colors.
Paper Pretties Use Punches or die cuts
Crazy Challenge Use die cuts or punches

Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave me a comment so I know you were here.

Baby blues

Hi everyone,
What a beautiful day here today, in the 50's. This has been a very mild winter and I love it.
I made this sweet little card yesterday for fun. I have never really done a clean and simple card before, but I have seen a lot of comments about them on different blogs. It truly is a struggle not to keep adding layers. It is sort of like the first time you put on a bathing suit, you see all that white and you want to cover it up. Also you cannot hide any imperfections, your image is out there for the world to see haha.

That being said I am glad we have a few more months before bathing suit season!

I used a digital stamp for my image from funky kits.co/uk called bambino. The sentiment is from a recollections group. I colored with copics, cut with spellbinders dies added a bow and a charm...there you have it!

I hope you like it! I am entering it in the following challenges:

Less is More Punches or Diecuts
Lollipop Crafts Anything goes.

Thanks for popping on by, leave me a comment so I know you were here, I love comments hehe!

Sexy in here?

Happy Monday,
For us it is a holiday, President's Day so everyone is off today. Of course that means we usually just schedule a 100 things to do that we cannot get done during the work week haha.

My post for today is my DT card for Graphicat Sketches. The image is a freebie I got from Sassy Studio called Sexy Sandy. The sentiment is from Graphicat. I think they go together nicely. I colored her with copic markers.

Now go to Graphicat Sketches and check out the other DT members cards, they are great.
I hope you will enter a card for a chance to win a great prize.

Thanks for stopping by!

You're a star

Hello Everyone,
So it is Sunday, my husband comes home today, I am looking forward to that. Although I did get a lot of crafting done without guilt while he was away hehe. I can say that because he hardly if ever reads my posts, why should he since my cards are all over the office. Speaking of the office, I am still working on organizing that. It is much more fun to create than to organize and clean!

So today's card I really like. The image is a digi from KennyKdownloads, so much fun. It is called Soldier girl for obvious reasons. I colored her with copics. Used Basic Grey Paper called Perhaps. I distressed the edges and used Distress ink in Frayed Burlap. The dies I used were from Spellbinders and Sizzix. The flowers from Recollections. I put the red rose in there because of the rose she is carrying. Some stars on there to represent the true stars the women of the military are! Hope you like it.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Basic Grey Challenge wish upon a star.
Dutch Dare Card Challenge Distressing.
Southern Girls Challenge so distressed.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will visit again and let me know what you think of my cards.

Third Birthday

Hi Everyone,
So I am feeling very creative this week. My husband is on a business trip so I have spent a lot of time in my office. Of course, I am sure he is missing me so much he probably has difficulty concentrating hahaha! For now it is just me and my every loyal, sparkly dog Max!

Today I made a birthday card for our friend's little boy who is turning 3 this week. That is such a fun age!
I am happy to say, I made this card entirely from my scrap box. No new paper was harmed in the making of this card.

I used a La La Land stamp called Cowboy Luca. Colored with copics. Added some buttons for balloons and some sheriff star buttons. Also used some bakers twine for ribbon strings. Added a little glossy accents to his badge for shine. I decorated the inside of the card today, this is something I have never really done before. I have seen it many times on other peoples cards but this is my first attempt. Not bad I think.

I am entering this card at:
Just Us Girls Technique challenge, must use buttons.
Delightful Sketches Use your scraps.

Hope you enjoyed your visit. Thanks to all those who have posted some great comments on my cards, much appreciated. Please check back again soon and see what I have been up to.

Frankie Knuckles

Good Evening!
Hope everyone is still eating a bit of chocolate from yesterday. Didn't think I was going to post a card today but my lunch date with my sister had to be changed, her daughter has a stomach bug, poor thing. So when all else fails I make cards. Will have to do lunch next week.

Today I made a card for my nephew's 18th birthday. What a struggle that was. Why do we have such a hard time making masculine cards. For me I think because I have two daughters, it has alway been a girlie thing around here. I used this stamp from KennyK downloads called Frankie Knuckles, I just love it. Reminds me of my husband way back in the day, a cute Italian kid from East Boston!

I colored him with copics of course. Found some old clear tickets from Maya Road that I put paper behind and used a happy birthday rub on. The background paper is from echo park called Happy Days. I have used this little paper pad a lot lately, I love the colors in it. Some ribbon and rhinestones from my stash. I hope he likes it, never know what an 18 year old will like haha.

I am entering this card in
Penny's Paper Crafts Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew Masculine

Thanks for taking a peek, much appreciated. Don't be afraid to leave a comment or just say hello, would love to hear from you. Hugs! Kim

Happy Valentines Day

Hi Everyone, Happy Valentine's Day!
What a great day! I have the best husband, do you know what he got me for Valentines? No not chocolate, no not flowers, he got me a gift certificate to my favorite scrapping store "Absolutely Everything" in Topsfield, MA. Now there is a man who knows what I like!

Just a quick little card for today. No it is not about love it is another one of the Stamping Boutique summer digis I got on sale. I just had to color it because it was so cute. I used some glossy accents to make the water look wet and some extra fine glitter for the sand. Hope you like it.

Thanks for the visit, I hope you eat some chocolate today!

Better not be late!

Good Sunday Afternoon to You!
It has been a really fun weekend for my family. Yesterday my husband's aunts and uncles came for dinner and oh what a dinner we had. My husband went out and dug up fresh steamers and oysters. He also made
stuffed calamari, chicken cutlet parm and pasta. (Yes he is the cook in the family.) I did buy the desert haha.
It was a lot of laughs and just a nice relaxing family day. We never get enough of these as everyone is always so busy. Today we are again just relaxing and going to have some homemade chicken soup for dinner which is good because this is one the first really cold days we have had here this winter.

Today I am posting a card I made for a friend's 30th birthday. I hope you have a sense of humor when see this one because it is all in fun. The image is a digital image from KennyKdownloads. The sentiment is from Graphicat. Of course she is colored with copics.

I am entering this at One Stitch At a Time Challenge - anything goes.

Hope it made you smile. Thanks for stopping by today! Now I am off for a little afternoon snack.

Better late than never.

Good Evening,

Yes I am posting at night, sometimes life just gets too busy! So for those of you who do not know me, I just moved into my house about 9 months ago. We moved to a great house with an inlaw for my inlaws. Well this house has a great office that I said, "wow I could never fill all those drawers and shelves". Well you guessed it, I was out buying another bookcase for the office haha. Now mind you this office has two desks and I gave my husband two shelves and two drawers but the rest shamefully is mine. So now I need to take some time and organize things. Don't know where I will buy the time but I will find it eventually. If I ever get organized I will take some photos to share my work space with you, in case you might be interested. I know I love seeing other crafter's work spaces, I am always on the look out for better storage ideas.

So on to today's card.  I was poking around yesterday and The Stamping Boutique was having all their summer digis on sale for a $1, who can resist that deal. So this is one of the stamps I purchased called Sunflower Girl. I colored her using Copics and a little bit of Distress Ink for the sky. Some Stickles in her bow. The paper is just some scrap I had in my scrap box. Some miscellaneous buttons and a little bit of brown ribbon. The sentiment is a Great Impression stamp.

I am entering her in the following challenges:

Birthday Sunadaes Challenge 42- Birthday Card with Sentiment
365 Cards Challenge 344 Marvelous Markers

Hope you enjoyed your little visit with me today because I am always happy you stop by.
Thanks...Hugs...Kim

I see red!

Good Morning Friends,

So it is Wednesday, half way there to the weekend! Not that I have exciting plans but no work is nice. Speaking of plans, my sister-in-law  has invited me to go down to Florida (that is where she lives) to attend the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention in September. Has anyone ever been? I have never been to any scrapbook convention, but I believe I am going to attend this one. Besides, I am sure my brother cannot wait to see me hehehe!  If you have been to this one or another let me know about it, I am very interested.

So today's card is a cute little girl from Sassy Cheryl called Dancing Day. I colored her with Copics. I used a Sharpie poster paint marker to make the polka dots on her headband and trim. I applied some Glossy Accents on her shoes to make them shiny. I stitched her to a layer of red cardstock. The polka dot paper is from echo park called Happy Days.

I am entering her in the following challenges:

Color Me Creative Challenge Colors of Love.
Sassy Cheryls Digi Stamp Challenge Be My Valentine.

Thanks for checking in.

Old Fashion Love

Good Tuesday Morning to You

I cannot believe it is February already because the weather here in Massachusetts has been so mild. Normally winter seems endless but this is one flying by, I absolutely love it!

Hope everyone who saw my post yesterday did the blog hop. It is always so fun to see the great creations all these talented artists come up with. If you have not checked it out you should do so and don't be afraid to leave a comment! We all love to hear what you think of our creations.

Today's card I did just for fun because I am taking a class on line at the Color Me Creative Classroom with Suzanne Dean, which I am learning to color to look like sepia or antique photos. It is really quite fun. I thought this came out rather cute, very different from my usual colorful style.

I used a Magnolia Tilda image, colored with copics. The starfish is a little stamp I had for years from rubber stampede. The flowers and paper are Prima. The Love ticket is from Tim Holtz. The ribbon I had in my stash. I put a little bit of Viva Pearl Pen in transparent on the starfish to make them look wet. I put a little bit of glitter, extra fine in the sand to give it some shimmer.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Magnolia Down Under Challenges Love is in the Air
Sugar Creek Hollow Vacation at the Beach
I Brake for Challenges I Brake for Love

Thanks for stopping by, glad you took a moment out of your day to share it with me!

Super Sunday

Good Morning All,
So today as many of you know is Super Bowl Sunday, even if you do not live in the USA I am sure you have heard of this. So I have made my card today in the spirit of the game. Now by the colors he is wearing you cannot guess which team he is from because ironically the Giants and the Patriots have the same colors. But let's just say I live in Massachusetts so you can figure it out from there!

I used  La-La Land Crafts Stamp called football Luca. Colored him with copics and used a bunch of scrap paper I had in my stash. The sentiment is actually a rub on. A red ribbon and some bling and how cute is he.

I am entering him in Crafty Ribbons Challenge One for the Men or Boys.

Thanks for dropping by! If you are watching the game enjoy if not at least partake in the super bowl snacks!

Let me know what you think, I always love to hear from you.
