Sweet Stampin' Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Friends,

It is Saturday which I love, and time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin'. This weeks challenge is: Spring into Easter with a sketch. What a fun, simple sketch too.

We have our March sponsor Joanna Sheen who generously is donating a gift voucher.

We also have this weeks sponsor Lili of the Valley who also is generously donating a gift voucher.

So here is the sketch, which I know you are going to love:

Here is my card which I thought came out quite cute. The bunny was a freebie I got on line, from stampfairy.com. I did a post a while back with a similar little bunny from the same site.   I colored him with Copics. The sentiment is actually a digital freebie also from Desert Diva. Don't you love freebies? The lace is actually a lace tape from Decollections, so easy to use. The paper was just from my scrap pile and the button and ribbon from my stash. I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities for my die cuts.

I very much appreciate your stopping by. I hope you will go to Sweet Stampin' and check out the other DT member's cards. The are all adorable. Leave them a comment or two, they love to get comments!

Again thanks for taking the time to look at my blog, leave me a comment when you enter the challenge and I will head over and check out your work too!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Clear it out Challenge:  Easter.
Cute Card Thursday: Easter.

Smooch help!

Hi Everyone,

Have a question for you today. I colored this sweet image from Wee Stamps, with Copics. Made this cute little card and decided at the last minute to put some Smooch top coat on the birds. Well now my little feathered friends look very streaky boo hoo! I was wondering if anyone else has ever run into this problem.
I am pretty sure Smooch is compatible with Copic ink so I am not sure if I just tried to cover too large of an area or what. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Embellish me!

Happy Monday!
Hope everyone is doing well. I am doing just great! Went to my card class Saturday, how fun. We did a bunch of cards using stamps from Northwoods Stamps. Terri the instructor is awesome love her classes. Of course the classes are held in my favorite store here in Massachusetts called Absolutely Everything and they mean it. So I had to do a little shopping.

Bought a pad of paper from Graphic 45 called Little Darlings it is soooo sweet. All baby stuff and some real sweet prints. I used one of the pages on my card today it is the green papers the background and the polka dot, I love it!

Today's card I went a little crazy with embellishments. I do love to embellish and since I am going to visit my sisterinlaw Dora in Florida next week, I know we will be shopping, so I wanted to make room in my craft space hahahaha!

I stamped a Magnolia Tilda stamp, colored her with copics. Did some faux stitching and real stitching. I put her on a cute tag. The green pearls are brads American Crafts. The pink flowers are Prima, the ticket is a Tim Holtz, I used a Sizzix Die for the leaves, the flowered paper is echo park. The butterfly, ribbon, and rest are all from my stash.

Hope you like her. Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Lollipop Crafts Anything goes.

Tough Guy

Happy Friday Everyone!

So I hope everyone is doing well. Wish I had some exciting story to tell you but fortunately my life has been kind of quiet lately. Although my husband did have jury duty this week and while sitting in a courthouse got a parking ticket, haha. I found it amusing, he did not.

Today's card was quick and simple but so cute! The image was a freebie from Little Scraps of Heaven. I think he is the sweetest. I used some rub ons, some buttons and some scrap paper, just a quick, fun card!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a nice weekend. I know I will. I am attending a card class with my sister tomorrow, that is always fun!

Whoopsi Daisy

Happy Sunday to you all!
What an absolutely gorgeous day here in Massachusetts, so unseasonably warm and I love it. Got to sit out on the deck with my charming husband and share some cheese and crackers and a glass of wine while soaking up some sun. It just does not get any better than that. Nothing more valuable than some time spent with those you love!

Ok enough of my sentiment hehe, I wanted to share a card I made for Whoopsi Daisy, they are looking for some Guest Design Team members, thought I would throw my name in since I love making cards and have some time on my hands.

The image is a free one they offer on their site, I love it because it looks like two sisters. Of course I had to color them similar because I used to dress my girls similar and my mom did it to me and my sister too!

The sentiment I used is from Inkadinkado. Everything else is from my scrap pile, except the swirl I used a Memory Box die to create.

Let me know what you think.

Meanwhile, I want to take a minute and thank all my followers and any one else who has left me a comment. I really appreciate it. It is so nice to know that someone actually took a few minutes of their day to make my day a bit brighter. I do try and get by and see everyone's blogs and I hope I have left you a comment or two myself, if not let me know and I will surely come by.

Thanks!

Our Second Sponsor is The Emerald Faeries, who so generously donated the stamps we used on our cards.

With Love

Hello Everyone,
Happy Wednesday, feels like it should be Friday already. Started out today I really wanted to make a get well card for my incredibly wonderful, handsome brother, who is having some surgery on his knee next week. But when I finished this card I realized it may be a bit too feminine, not sure what I will do.

When I finished coloring this image I was not sure I liked the colors I chose. The image is adorable it is from Mo's digital pencil, but I colored it rather mutely. After I paired it up with some paper and what not I really do like it.

The little fence and bird is a die from Marianne designs, I could get hooked on these. The paper is from magnolia Ink called red cherries. Of course she is colored with copics.

I am entering her in the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge Say it with Flowers.
Mo's Digital challenge Something new... the marianne Designs dies first time and I love them.

Thanks for stopping by, and let me know what you think about my card, I would love to hear from you.

Easter Purple

Hi Everyone,
I have to say, this unseasonably warm weather is amazing, I just love it. Been out doing a little shopping for spring clothes, just a little!
Today's card is a quick one but actually came out very cute. The image is a digital that I got free but cannot remember who it is from. I have since starting marking where I get my free images from but this one is not marked. The sentiment however, is also free from desert diva. I kept it all very monochromatic in purple tones. I colored the image using copics and everything else I had in my stash, flowers, ribbon, paper and rhinestones.

I think it is simple but sweet!

I know the rhinestones on the top look blue but they are not, it is just the camera I guess, or the photographer hahaha.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

IDIC Easter

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me comment so I know you were here, I love comments!

Flying High

Hi Everyone,
Hope we are all doing well. My week has not been that busy so I took advantage and have been making up some cards and doing a little scrapping. I will eventually have to post some of my scrap book pages, but I have not been that brave yet haha!

Today I made birthday card for my daughter's boyfriend. He just passed his test for his commercial pilot's license. We are very happy for him. So I thought this card would be appropriate.
But before I get into that I should mention that my daughter Ashley (said girlfriend) was picked as the freshman academy teacher of the month! What an over achieving pair these two are. She has been a high school teacher for 3years, but this is her first year at this school and her first teaching freshman. We are very proud of her.

Ok enough of my bragging. Today's card is fun, the image is actually a clip art image from Arthur's Free Air Transport Clip Art. I picked a Cessna plane because that is about all I know of planes except that they fly. Colored with Copics. Made a card out of Kraft paper and distressed all my paper on it. The sentiment stamp is from Stampendous. Metal clip is from Making Memories. The ticket stub is a Tim Holtz. The brads and buttons and little passport I had in my stash.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Incy Wincy Designs Something Old/Something new (Old paper, brads, embellies, New image)
Paper Pretties Masculine
Phindys Place Challenge Distressed

Hope you enjoyed your little visit. Thanks for taking a peek. Would love to hear from you.
I am off to make another card, maybe for my brother this time.

Sweet Chick

Good Afternoon,
What a beautiful day today, very warm and another one for tomorrow! So seeing it feels like spring, I made a card that has a spring/easter feel to it.

Before I go on though, I would like to thank everyone who has commented on my posts and to let you all know that my sister loved her card and she is doing well. Of course I gave it to her with whoopie pies so that made it even sweeter, haha.

So my card today was my first attempt at an easel card. It was not as hard as I thought it might be. I found a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers and that helped me along.

The stamp I used is a digital stamp from Phindy's Place. I just bought it today because it was so cute. The small basket was a separate stamp from great impressions that I stamped, colored and cut out to attach to the card. I thought she needed a little basket or purse to match her bonnet!

I colored her using Copics of course my favorite thing ever. The background paper is a Basic Grey called spheres, but it reminded me of chicken coop wire, don't ask me why. I used Spellbinders dies to make the eyelet circle and the tag on the inside of the card. The sentiment I just typed on my computer. The flowers and rhinestones I had in my stash. I used a little liquid pearl in buttercup for the center of the flower on her hat. I also added a bit of glitter to the flowers.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp:  Mother's Day or Special Girl
Joanne Sheen  Spring is  in the Air
Fab and Funky Mellow yello
Basic Grey Spring Photo Inspiration
CMC Fuzzy Wuzzy Furry animal antics

Thanks for stopping by and don't hesistate to leave me a comment or two!

I colored her with copics and used a memory box die for the flourishes. The ribbon and heart charm were from my stash.

Cupcakes Help

Hi Everyone,
Hope we are all enjoying our weekend. I do love Sundays, I usually do most of my cardmaking on Sundays.
Today I have a special little card for my younger sister. She ended up in the hospital unexpectedly for two days. She came home today and is doing well, but needless to say, no one wants to be in the hospital. So I thought this card might cheer her up as the little girl is holding a cupcake and who does not love cupcakes?

I used a LaLa Land stamp Sugar and Spice Marci. I have used her before but she is very cute. I colored her with copics. I used a Memory Box Die for the hearts, added some rhinestones to them and some flowers that I punched out. I added buttons to the paper flowers I had in my stash. A little bakers twine and a Tim Holtz tag for some encouraging sentiment.

I hope she likes it, I am sure she will if I give it to her with a cupcake haha.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Sentimental Sundays Words of encouragment.
IDIC Cupcakes.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

So here is my card. I used a digital stamp from Squigglefly called Welcome home. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I colored this with Copics and added a little glossy accents to the lady bug dots and the windows to give them some shine. I used a memory box die for the swirl, a Martha Stewart punch for the border and a Spellbinders to cut out the image. I stitched around my papers.  The flowers are from recollections and the leaves are from Bazzill papers. The actual paper is just from my scrap pile.

I hope you like it, I love the little lady bug arm around the bee, how cute and their heart antennae.

Think Spring

Hello Everyone,

So the weather is a bit crazy here. It has been snowing all day but not really accumulating. Kind of a crazy winter, it snowed on Halloween and then not again until now...strange.
So I went shopping with my sister yesterday at my favorite store and Oh My they are getting in all the new items for spring. I did some shopping and got some great papers from Webster's pages, the Memory Box dies are beautiful and I had to add to my Copic collection. Of course my wish list was a mile long by the time I left the store.

That being said, today's card is a sweet spring time treat. I used a Magnolia Tilda stamp and colored her in purples and yellows. The sentiment I did myself on the computer. The flowers are all from Recollections that I bought at Michaels on clearance, nice. I added lots of rhinestones and a butterfly from my stash, which I just added some more rhinestones to.

I am entering her in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday Signs of Spring.
Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes
The Stamp Man Colors of Spring.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you feel a little closer to spring now haha.
Let me know what you think!
