Birthday Cake

PINK AND CHOCOLATE GIFT CARD HOLDER

Hello everyone, today I want to share with you how I made this fun chocolate cake gift card holder card using all Products from Emily Moore Designs.

PRODUCTS USED

Make a cake gift card holder die

Happy Birthday Short and Sweet die

Shaker Frame Die Doily

Liquid glue

Foam tape

Sprinkles

Cardstock of your choice

Glitter or glitter glue

First I started by die cutting what I needed. Starting with a card base of 4 ¼ x 5 ½,  I put the die with a bit off the paper so it would leave me the fold for the card.

Next, I die cut two of the cake layers in chocolate, two of the top frosting in pink, I also cut the cake layers in pink just to use the frosting part as you can see, I need 6 of these. I cut the sentiment and the sentiment shadow in coordinating colors. Also, the frosting dollops and one doily.

Then I proceeded to glue the cake layers to the outside and inside of the card. Careful on the inside not to put glue on the tabs for the gift card. (learned the hard way haha).

Followed by the frosting layers. Two fit in the die perfectly, the third I placed on the top.

I then added the frosting on top of the layers on both the inside of the card and the card front. You can see it all coming together now!

After gluing the sentiment to the sentiment shadow, I adhered it to the inside of the card on the left, thus leaving the right side for a gift card.

Using foam tape, I put some on the dollops of frosting and I used liquid glue for the frosting border. I then applied all of these to the front of the card.

Next, I took the doily I had die cut and cut both ends off at ¾ of an inch. I am using this to add some extra icing to the cake top.

I then glued it to the top of the cake on the front to look like two big dollops of frosting. From there I proceeded to add some sprinkles for that fun birthday affect! I went ahead and added some glitter glue too. You could skip this part or add some glitter, whatever makes you smile!

I hope this inspires you to go out and create something fun!
