Surviving the Hurricane!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope all my east coast neighbors are surviving the hurricane. We are pretty good so far, still have our power not too much water just a whole lot of wind. But work and school has been cancelled all around so everyone is home with me today which is nice.

So before I show you what I have been crafting I wanted to share a Halloween Picture with you. My husband and I went to a Halloween Fundraiser party dressed as a flapper and a gangster. I thought we looked good!

It was a lot of fun. It is always fun to dress up. Hope you have a little laugh at this!

As for my card today, I colored sweet Tilda with copics. I used a sparkle glitter paper in the background, added Stickles to her hat and coat trim. Some more Stickles on the snow and some shimmer spray on the white paper. You cannot see it well in the picture but it sparkles and shimmers!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time:  Make 1 for Christmas
Dream Valley Challenges:  Glitter and Bling
Robyns Fetish Challenge: Use and Embossing Folder, (the snowflake background)
Craft Pad: Christmas is Coming

Thanks for stopping by and stay dry and safe!

What's cooking..not me!

Good Morning,

Hope everyone is fine today. What a busy week, my youngest daughter turned 23 on Monday! Where does that time go? I had to get some Halloween costumes ready as at work today we dress up and I am also going to a costume party tomorrow night. If I am brave I will post a picture hmmm maybe hehe. In between I had to have a repair out to fix my dining room table, I also had some new furniture delivered, drove the inlaws to doctors appointments, worked two jobs, cleaned the house, did the laundry, well you get the picture because I am sure most of you are doing the same. Don't know how I manage to squeak out a few cards but I do, it is my relaxation time.

So today at Sweet Stampin' we have new challenge called What's cooking. That right anything related to cooking. It can be an image, the paper, sentiment, embellies. As long as you use a stamp somewhere.

Once again we have two generous sponsors, they are:

Our Monthly sponsor:

And our Weekly Sponsor WHIMSY STAMPS

So for my card I thought this image was appropriate as this is what you would do with my meatballs as I am a terrible cook haha! Of course it helps that my husband is a great cook.

My stamp is from the The Stamp Basket and I colored her with copics. My paper is call So Delish, Everything but the kitchen sink.

I  hope you will check out your supplies and join us in this fun challenge.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafts and Me:  Fantasy Creatures
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge:  Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Halloween

Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. I am at a craft show today, it is only my second time selling my cards and I am a bit nervous. I love giving my cards away, but to actually charge for them, I know people will be much more critical. Oh well it is for a good cause, it is a fundraiser, awareness type of symposium to help stop human trafficking. So even if I don't sell one card at least my donation may help haha.

Today at Whoopsi Daisy we have a new challenge and it is HALLOWEEN! So I think you either love it or ignore it hehe! I love all the colors of Halloween, not to mention the chocolate...but I am not a big fan of the gross scary stuff. So my card is a sweet little witch from Whoopsi Daisy sheet 373.

I colored her with my copics and used some great black sparkly paper. I love the flower colors with this card. I used some Stickles too for even more glitter.

So lets see what you can do. If you use a Whoopsi Daisy image your prize doubles, so that is a great incentive to go check out these sweet images. You still may enter with another image but you only get one sheet of images instead of two.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Card Making Mamas: Time to get Spooky
Crafting For all Seasons:  Spooky
Crafty Catz Challenge:  Halloween
Cute Card Thursday:  Got glitter

Thanks for stopping by!

Bag Lady

Hello Everyone,

Had such a great day today. Slept in a bit then had some pancakes for breakfast. Crafted the afternoon away while my husband cooked. Got to love a man that cooks! He made beef stew, fresh baked bread, chicken, potatoes and peppers so good. Both my girls were home for dinner which is a rare occasion, very nice day!

So I made these cute little bags for a craft fair I am going to, let me know what you think. They were so simple that I am starting to worry that they are not good enough hehe. I guess if I don't stress over a project, I stress that I did not stress, you know what I mean?

The actual figures were from martha Stewart, they are adhesive diet cuts. The rest I used my dies to cut the fence, ghosts, bird. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the spider webs and branches.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge:  anything goes
Allsorts Challenge:  Too cute to spook.

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Leaves/Trees

Good Morning!
Today at Sweet Stampin' we have a new challenge and it is "Autumn Leaves/Trees". Now I must tell you I had quite a struggle with this one. But once I really thought about it, I stressed about nothing. Before we get to my card we have two sponsors as usual. They are:

Our monthly sponsor is once again Joanna Sheen.

Our weekly sponsor this time is Lili of the Valley.

And here is my card. I used a rubber stamp that I have had for a while from Stampin Up. I stamped the trees and then used my copics to dot some color on the leaves and branches to make it look more fall like. The leafy branch is a Sizzix die that I find I use quite often. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from a group of stamps from Recollections.

So think about it get your your leaf paper, tree stamps, autumn stamps, etc and make something great. I would love to see what you come up with. In the meantime, for some more inspiration go to Sweet Stampin' and see what the DT girls have done, you will be impressed.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Incy wincy: anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Shop Til You Drop

Hello Everyone,

So I feel like lately I am constantly running around like a crazy woman! Why does it seem like you have weeks on end with nothing happening then everything happens at once. So I took another part time job on top of my other job, which I love but those extra hours a week seem to have put me behind everywhere else.
Not to mention I have had to shop up a storm for some work clothes, fall clothes, etc. So today's card is appropriate since next we will all be out shopping for the holidays!

I used an adorable digi stamp from Kenny K and colored her with Copic markers. The paper is from Bo Bunny. The poinsettia is a die from Marianne Designs which I just bought and l love.

I am entering her in the following challenges:

Crafts and Me:  anything Goes
Gem of a Challenge:  For the Girls
Crafty Sentiments Design: anything goes
Incy wincy:  Anything goes

Thanks,

Kim

Fantasy Pixie

Good Morning Friends, New challenge today over at Pixie Dust Studio, it is Fantasy! You know, fairies, unicorns, etc. My card is using Pixie's Baker Fairy. I have used her before but she is one of my favorites. I colored her using copics. I got the new Fluorescent colors which I love. I used them on her wings, really fun colors.

So I hope you will get out all your stamps that relate to fantasy and create something wonderful. Go check out what the other challenge team members have created!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

 Polka Doodles:  wings and things

Pixie time

Good Morning Friends

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing fine. So I live in Topsfield, home of like one of the biggest, oldest, agricultural fairs around and it has done nothing but rain since the fair has opened. How awful is that? I am so sick of looking at the rain. Everyone wants to go enjoy the fair but it is so wet out.

Well anyway, it is good to be able to stay in and craft so I guess there is an upside to everything. I will ask you all though, I am doing a craft show on Sunday, October 21 and was looking for suggestions on how to best display my cards. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well on to my post this week is for Pixie Dust Studio and it is an all time favorite:  Anything Goes!
Well now that was easy wasn't it. Here is my card using one of the cutest Pixie Dust Images.

Ballerinas are my favorite! I colored her with Copics and used lots of glitter and stickles on her outfit. I used a star charm since she is the star of the show hehe!

I hope you will enter one of your own great creations and check out what the other challenge team members have created. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

i am entering this card in the following challenges:
