So Sweet

Good Evening,
So I promised a card post today and thus it shall be, haha, better late than never.
It is just after becoming a DT member for Sweet Stampin I became very popular and my phone
kept ringing lol!

But I did create this cute little card late today and wanted to share.

The stamp is from La-La Land Crafts, it is Sugar n' Spice Marci. Of course I colored her with Copics. The sentiment stamp is from Memory Box, called sweet cupcake. The paper is just from my scrap box and Stickles and a little bling and there you go!

I am entering her in Cute Card Thursday Challenge 201, You're a Gem
and also in Creative Inspirations Challenge 147, Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and special thanks to all of you who left comments, much appreciated.
Love to hear the feedback.

Exciting News

Good Morning Everyone,

I will post a card later, but this morning I could not wait to share my exciting news. I have been selected to be a new Design Team Member for Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog. How exciting is this?  I have only had my own blog about a month now and Sweet Stampin was one of the few card challenges I had entered. If you follow my blog I mentioned that they were looking for new design team members and that I was throwing my name in. Well look at me now! I never thought I would be chosen since I am not that experienced and the other team members are so talented, but I found out they are also extremely nice.  They have some great card challenges, if you have not entered one there you really should.

I also want to say Congrats to the other two new team members Doreen and Jenny. I am really excited to be working with you both.

So I hope all of you will follow my progress both here and at Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog to see how I do.
I am both nervous and excited. Please leave me your comments would love to hear what you have to say.

Thanks! And hopefully I will be able to calm myself down long enough to post a new card later lol!

Not a Card

Happy Friday Friends,
Hope everyone survived another week lol. So I was wondering how some of you get such great pictures of your projects on line. A friend suggested a lightbox for photos, I was thinking of getting one, any comments on this? Would love to hear from you if you use one and how it works for you.

Today's post is not a card. I know shock! Delightful Challenges has a challenge this week called:
Valentine's, Anything But  A Card. So here is my creation.

http://delightfulsketches.blogspot.com/

It is a wine gift bag. I just bought a plain brown paper gift bag, took out the blue ribbon handles and made it my own. I used a digital stamp from Digital Delights that was actually a freebie, called Tree of Love. How cute is that. I colored it using Copics, added some stickles for sparkle. All the paper used was actually in my scrap box of paper. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the lace border. Embossed the heart with one of my many folders and did the to and from tag with a Marvy punch and Great Impressions stamp. All it needs now is a bottle of wine or champagne perhaps.....

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend. I am actually attending a card class at a local shop here on Saturday with my sister. If we stop talking long enough in class we may actually learn something hahaha, I love spending time with my sisters!

Frosty

Good morning all!
Good news this morning, my Coffee vs. Men card won the Dutch Dare Sketch Challenge. It was a random pick but so what, I won a great prize from The Stamping Boutique. I love prizes! (Who doesn't?)

Today's card is being entered in the CMC Copic Challenge 35 -Frost, Icy, Cold, Projects.

http://scrapbitzcopics.ning.com/group/cmccopicchallengegroup

This is a cling stamp from Art gone Wild, I bought a couple of these stamps from my favorite store here in town (Absolutely Everything) and I love them. Of course he was colored with copics in some nice cool winter colors. I used Stickles icicle on his coat and hat. I used extra fine glitter on the snow flakes and around the swirls. A couple of clear snowflakes from Heidi Swapp along with two punched snowflakes (Martha Stewart punch) topped with a rhinestone and pearl. I think he looks quite frosty!

Hope you have a chance to stop by, if you do, please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.
I have been busy checking out everyone's blogs, there are so many and the talent is endless, I love it.
Enjoy your day! Thanks.

Song and Dance

Good Morning,
So I just finished doing laundry and grocery shopping yuck! Now I remember I only have an hour or two to enter my card in the challenge for Cute Card Thursday. They are doing a Music and Dance challenge 200.

http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/2012/01/challenge-200-music-dance.html

This card I made with a La-La Land Crafts stamp called Marci Ballerina, she is so cute. I stamped then masked her and then did the back ground stamp from Stampendous called Music Score colored her with Copics and added some stickles and pearls, etc. She is ready for her debut lol.

I love doing challenges because is forces me to expand my horizons a bit and try new things. That is why I keep entering them, otherwise, I fear I may fall into a rut and stick with what I know.

Hope you like her!
I am constantly trying to find new inspiration to shake it up a bit, but right now I have to finish putting away the groceries, I don't see much inspiration there haha.

Thanks for taking a peek!

What no copics?

Hello Everyone,
What a beautiful day here in New England, it is like spring. I am loving it, because I hate snow!
Ironically the card I am posting today is done with white on white. I don't want to see white on the ground any time soon.

But enough about that. My card today is being entered into two challenges (look at me like a pro lol).
Both are white on white and what a challenge that was for me. I don't think I ever did an all white card before. So I figured if you must use one color then you need a lot of texture, which is what I tried to accomplish.

The two challenges I am entering are:

Sweet Stampin White on White
http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/

Souther Girls Challenge #36 White on white
http://southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/well-we-are-already-onto-second.html

I broke out the Cuttlebug for this one and used those embossing folders that I have a hundred of.
I rubbed stickles on to one of the embossed papers to give it some glittery shine. I used white sheer ribbon which you can probably barely see but it keeps it light and adds more shine. I used a Sizzix die for the leaves.
The rubber stamp I used is from Penny Black, called sparklers, it is one of my favorite stamps. I stamped it with Tim Holtz Distress ink bundled sage and then added some extra fine glitter to it.  Can you imagine, I did not use a single copic on here, wow. It did come out very pretty. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by! Please come again!

Been there, done that.

Happy Monday!
Hope all of you football fans are relaxing after yesterday's close games. I am not a sports fan, though I do like the game snacks if you know what I mean. We had the game on but I spent most of it in my craft room having fun. My husband, father-in-law, daughters and daughter's boyfriend sounded like they were having fun haha.

My card today was done with a stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil. As soon as I saw this stamp it reminded me of my friend's daughter at that age, she was so cute! So I had to have it of course. I love the leotard and tutu also because my daughters used to dance for many years, so I love anything with dance.

I colored her with copics and used some Smooch on her leotard. I also used some Stickles on her tutu, crown and flower. Added some rhinestones to her crown for true princess affect. I even broke out the sewing machine and stitched around the base of the card and around the stamp.

I am entering her in Mo's Digital Challenge 118, Stitching Real or Faux.

Thanks for checking her out.
Thanks to everyone for their great comments, keep them coming I love it.
Everyone has been so positive and helpful.
