Big Tree

Hello Everyone,

For those of you who have the day off, I hope you enjoyed it. I came home yesterday after a relaxing, yet freezing weekend away with my husband. Today we both had the day off, so I have been making cards and practicing coloring while my husband went clamming this morning. Yes he is crazy on such a cold day, but it is a hobby for him so who am I to judge crazy when you look at my hobby hehehe!

Today I made this adorable card with a digi stamp (yes another one) from Make it Crafty, called Big Tree.
I colored it using Copics (of course). Then said what am I going to do with this huge tree? Thought oh a yellow ribbon around it is so significant. Makes such a simple statement. The print paper is from Me and My Big Ideas.

I believe I will enter this in the Dutchdare card challenge:
DDCC #147 Karen's doodles- for the boys.

http://dutchdare-cardchallenges.blogspot.com/

I believe it is appropriate for all the boys serving everywhere. May they all come home safe.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and special thanks to all of you who have posted comments, it is so exciting to find a comment on your blog, especially when first starting out like me. I now make it point to comment on the blogs I visit to let others know I appreciate their talent and the time they took to post it.

Hi Kim! Thanks for the comment on my blog. I am returning the love! Your coloring is FANTASTIC! Did you take a class? I am really working on blending and shading. I hope to take Suzanne Dean's course soon! Well, anyways.. My husband served 6 years in the Navy and spent 8 months in Iraq. The yellow ribbon means a great deal to us. =) I look forward to seeing you around the challenges! =)
