Monochrome

Good Morning Everyone!
First I would like to say a special hello to my newest followers. It is a pleasure to have you aboard, I hope you visit often and thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment,I so enjoy reading them.

For today's post we have a new challenge at Sweet Stamping, Monochrome. Yes you know, all shades of one color. Very different if you have never tried it you should, it certainly takes the pressure off picking colors and coordinating embellishments since it all has to be in the same color family.

We have two sponsors again this week, our first is our ever generous monthly sponsor Joanne Sheen.

We have this weeks sponsor the The Emeral Faerie.

So for my card this week I have used an Emerald Faerie image. I colored it with copics and used some distressing and shades of brown.

Hope you will go to Sweet stampin and check out what the other DT members have created, they are all so different and fun! Go on now and you too will be inspired to enter our challenge for a chance to win a great prize.

I am entering this in the following challenges

Blog Hop Pixie Style

Good Morning Friends!
What an exciting post I have for you today, so much information to share with you.
First today at Pixie Dust Studio we are having a blog hop! It is also a Pixie Flix challenge
which means you must try and guess the movie from all the clues on our blogs. We have lots of great prizes.

First you must comment on all the blogs listed in the hop and then on your final comment back at Pixie Dust, you must name what movie you think it is.  One winner will be chosen from that list who has the right movie and has commented on all the blogs and you will receive a copy of the movie.

Secondly, we have a mystery blog (shhh) and one comment will be chosen off that blog and that person will win the digi stamp that we used for our cards, designed just for this movie.

Thirdly, yup that's right there is more,  just go to the Pixie Fan Page on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/133628750108595/  and leave a comment on the day of the hop and you too may win this digi!

So lets get started. Here is the blog order:
You should have arrived here from Christine if not you may want to go back and start from the beginning.

Here is my card and my clue is:

Kim ~ A bomb believed to be placed inside a Paris Opera House is actually hidden in a nearby hotel. It explodes and kills a number of businessmen.

Hmm come on now you know what it is! So go check out the other blogs and don't forget to leave a comment on each one so you can win!

So next you should go to Audrey!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy yourself with our little Pixie Flix Blog Hop!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

Another wonderful day! Hope you are all well. Today at Pixie Dust Studio we have a new challenge:
Rain or Shine I must design! We want to see your weather related cards. Sounds fun right? The funny part is that it is so true, we will create regardless of weather, we just have to!

So here my card:

How cute is she in her little matching rain coat and hat! I colored her with copics and then used some clear Pearl drops on her hat to give it the appearance of being wet and shiny. The little umbrella I had it is from Jolee's.

I hope you will hop on over and check out what the other team members have created and hopefully create something of your own.

Thanks for stopping by.

Paper Piecing Yes

Good Morning Friends,

Hope today finds you all well. We have a new challenge for you over at Sweet Stampin' this week.
It is paper piecing, now before you shake your head and say "what", I want you to know that is is my first attempt at paper piecing and I must say it was not really that difficult. Basically you stamp your image twice, once on the the paper you will color on and another time on pattern paper. Then you cut out the parts you want from the pattern paper and apply it your plain image. How simple?

Before I show you my card, I must tell you we have two wonderful sponsors. Our ever generous monthly sponsor:

Also we have our weekly sponsor who is also giving away a voucher.

So here is my card! I paper pieced the adorable polka dot awning and the heart in the sentiment.
So easy you must try this. My image is a digital image from Pollycraft. I colored the rest with copics. The butterflies I made with a Martha Stewart punch. The paper and ribbons were in my stash.

So I hope you will go to Sweet Stampin' and check out all the DT member's creations, they are amazing. I also hope you will give paper piecing a try this week and enter our challenge. Come on now you could win one of these great prizes!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about this.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I am entering this in the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge:  Spots.

Pixie News

Good Morning Everyone,

I have some very exciting news, I am now  Pixie!!!! I have been asked to be on the Challenge Team over at Pixie Dust Studios, how awesome is that? I am truly honored that I can now sprout some Pixie wings. The Pixie stamps are so cute and fun to color, I know I will be having a lot of fun!

So for my very first challenge there is it a Color challenge, a Spa Color challenge! Who would not love to be in a spa for a day, you know, nails, facials, massages, oh how relaxing that would be!
Plus you get this lovely image to work with! Can you beat that, I don't think so!!!

Sweet inspiration colors. So this is what I came up with. I colored her with Copics. Used some Stickles on the bubbles. The sentiment is from Recollections. I used Spellbinders dies. Rain dots are from Cloud 9.

So I hope you will hop on over to http://pixieduststudiopixiechallenge.blogspot.com/ and enter the challenge. I would love to see your creations. Also the other Pixies have some done some amazing things with this image, you have to check them out!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will revisit and see how I am doing as a new Pixie! Now that I have sprouted my Pixie wings I would love your encouragement to fly hahaha!

25 Really?

Hello Everyone,

A special hello to my newest follower, thank you so much for joining us!!

Hope everyone is doing well, I am doing great, it is very hot and summer like here and as long as the AC works I am good with it hahaha!

So today I have a special card, I made this for my oldest daughter, who is going to be 25 this Friday!
How does that happen? I mean really, in my head I just had her. Of course in her head she is probably trying to escape me hehe! But seriously, I was just her age when I had her so imagine how strange this all seems. ...

A bright spot though is the fact that I have been blessed with two caring, intelligent, healthy, beautiful daughters!!!

I have used an Elizabeth Bell digital stamp on this card because it really does remind me of her when she was little, with all that hair. I colored it with Copics and used papers from my scrap pile. The tag is a Tim Holtz.

Thanks for stopping by!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

ABC Challenge:   S- surprise us.
One Stitch at a Time:  Use a Digi
Moving Along With The Times:  Birthday
Love to Create Challenge:  Anything Goes

Hugs...
