Hi Everyone,
Yes my second post today. If you are looking for my Graphicat Sketch Challenge scroll down a bit.
Today here in the USA is Memorial Day and I wanted to take a minute to share a story in honor of the day. So my dad who is going to be 80 in August, is a veteran of The Korean War. He was on his ship the USS Hobson doing maneuvers when it was struck by another ship and sunk. My dad was one of the survivors of his ship. Now this all happened just before he married my mom. We always joked with them that he must have still been in state of shock when they got married a few months later haha.
But on to my story...my dad has a baseball hat with with the USS Hobson embroidered on it which he wears all the time. So while at the Memorial day parade, my dad who was a spectator, was just standing there as the parade happen to stop in front of him. One of the veterans marching, came out of formation, stood in front of my dad and saluted him. This small act was enough to bring my dad to tears. He was so honored that another vet would salute him.
So just a reminder to all of us who take our country, freedom and live's for granted, remember, there are many men and women who made great sacrafices for us to enjoy what we have. They made these sacrafices because they believed all the above was worth fighting for! So to my dad and all the other veterans I salute you, honor you and thank you!
Love,
Kim

Sketch #9
Good Morning Everyone!
Happy Memorial Day to all of us in the USA! Hope you are enjoying yourselves this weekend with maybe a parade or a cookout. We had our cookout yesterday and it was wonderful. Lots of food, fun and laughs. It is a nice day spent with family that reminds us of the truly important things in life, which are not things at all, but family and friends!
So today Graphicat Sketch Challenges has a new sketch challenge. Sketch 9.
This is my take on the sketch. So come on now, if I can do it you can too! You can turn the sketch around or on its side as long as we can see the original sketch there.
I used a digital image from Kenny K downloads, I think he is cool! I colord him with Copics. The sentiment is a Graphicat. You should check out all the great sentiments she has they are fun!
I used paper from Prima a 6 x 6 pad called My Little Guy Collection. The buttons and ribbons I had in my stash. The flourish was made using a memory box die.
So go check out the other Graphicat design team members creations, they are amazing!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
2 Sisters Challenge: Bring on the Boys
Kenny K Krafty Girls: Ribbon
Crafty Catz Weekly challenge: Card for a Man
Here Come the Boys: Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your entry at this challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Moon and Stars
Good Morning All,
A lovely day today, and a nice long weekend for those of us in the USA. Have a cookout this weekend to kick off the unofficial start of summer.
Today at Sweet Stampin we have a new challenge, yup you guessed it MOON AND STARS.
Now that is fun, it can be in your image, your paper, or your embellishments but we want to see some moons and stars!
We have two sponsors. Our ever generous monthly sponsor Joanna Sheen is giving away a voucher.
So here is my card. Isn't she the cutest? Bugaboo stamps so graciously donated images to the Design Team to work with. (I love this little perk.)
I colored her Copics. Added some stickles to her shoes and halo. The stars were stamped and heat embossed then I embellished with some itsy bitsy rhinestones. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Recollections and the flowers are a mix of Prima and Recollections.
Hope you will go check out the other DT members cards at Sweet Stampin' as they are soooo fun! It will also give you a chance to see some more great digis from Bugaboo!
So glad you popped on by and I hope you have a great weekend.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments challenge: Any Sentiment
ATC and Cards with Attitude: Anything goes.

Dreams
Good afternoon everyone,
A rainy, dreary day here, but cannot complain because the weekends have been beautiful.
So today's card I made for a reason and then something came up so I made a different card. I will not share that reason right now, but some of my followers may understand.
But any way, this came out very cute in my opinion (hehe). I used a rubber stamp from Inkadinkadoo for the image and a rubber stamp for the sentiment from Studio G. I used Memory box die for the rolled flowers and the flourish. The paper I had in my scrap pile. I used some Liquid Pearl around the image. The charm is from EK Success Create your style. Hope you like it.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge: 3D
Just us Girls: Color hallenge, yellow, white and blue
2 Sisters challenge: Stars
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards: For the boys
Love To Create: Sony Lyrics (When you wish upon a Star)
Thank you for all your lovely comments, always nice to hear from you. If I have not stopped by your blog in a while let me know so I can hop on over.

Graduation 3
Hello Everyone,
So it is the weekend! Lots of fun on weekends. I just got back from the beach where my husband was doing a little recreational clamming, and I sat in the glorious sunshine reading a book. The simple things are always the most appreciated.
Very good news this week. First my adorable card from my post Crafting Weather won the challenge at Pixie Dust, I am very flattered.
Secondly, my husband came home the other night and informed me that he is taking me to Vegas to celebrate my birthday next month. I am turning a very big number this year haha, you thought I would tell, but like I told my husband, if my birthday happens in Vegas, it stays in Vegas so I get to remain the same age!!!!
So for today's post, yup you guessed, my third Graduation card. Hey I warned you I had three graduations this year. She is a cutie from La-La Land Graduation Marci. I colored her with my copics (I know shock), cut her out using Nestabilities. The sentiment came with this adorable digi stamp. I like this one for my oldest niece Nicole as she is graduation college and I am sure everyone feels the same when then are finally done!
Hopefully my next card will not be graduation, but you never know hahaha!
Thanks for taking the time to check out my cards. Leave me a little comment and I will try and stop by and see your latest creation.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Sketch and Stash: Andies Sketch
La La Land Crafts: Spots and Stripes
Delightful Challenges: Add a ribbon.
Take care,
Kim

Graduation Continues
Hello Everyone!
Well look at me getting my cards done a few weeks before I need them. This must be some kind of a small miracle haha!
Just like I said yesterday (if you really read my blog and not just looked at the pictures lol), I went off to make another card. Finished it this morning. This one is for my nephew.
I used a LaLa Land stamp Graduating Luca a digi I purchased just for the occasion. I did not even know they had digi's until I saw it on another blog, I was very excited! See what you can learn from reading other blogs hmmm.
So I colored him in bright blue but used very masculine papers to keep it from feeling too juvenile or girlie. The papers are Basic Grey 6 x 6 pack called Oxford, (very studious). There is one piece on there with the letters that I have no idea where it is from, it was in my scrap box. The sentiment came with my digi (great deal). The wooden button is a Prima that I bought while visiting my sister-in-law Dora in Florida. See Dora I do use all my stuff, do you???????
Let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by.
I am entering this cutie in the following challenges:
Basic Grey: anything goes
Lollipop Crafts: Just for him
Moving Along with the Times: Keep it real
Paper Pretties: Graduation

Graduate
Good Afternoon All,
Before I begin, I would like to thank all my faithful followers for their lovely comments. Always a nice feeling when someone lets you know they appreciate your work.
So today's card I made out of necessity. I have 2 nieces and one nephew graduating this year. Two from high school and one from college, not to mention my own daughter is graduating with her Master's Degree this year. So this is just one of many cards I will be making. This one is going to be for my youngest niece who is graduating high school, the older niece is her sister and she graduating college, my poor sister whew!
I used this adorable image from Sassy Studio, very stylish like my niece Amanda. I colored her with copics. The sentiment is acutally rub on letters from Making Memories. The paper is from Authentique a 6 x 6 pad called Celebrate (appropriate I know!). The flowers I made with a brand new die I just bought yesterday (with the gift card I got for Mother's Day) from Memory Box. I have been dying to try these rolled flowers, so fun. I stuck a little pearl inside each one. The ribbon and rhinestones are from my stash.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Paper Pretties: Graduation
Crafty Sentiments: Bingo (Pattern Paper/Colored Image/Die Cut)
Designed to Color: Handmade flowers
Thanks for stopping by! I am off to make more hehe!

Sketch 8
Good Monday Morning!
It is a dreary morning here today after such a beautiful weekend, how sad. Oh well good day to stay in and craft hehe, so much for the job, housework and such!
Today we have a new Sketch challenge over at Graphicat. It is sketch 8 and it is a good one. Now I know the date on there says May28 - June 11 but that is wrong. The correct dates are from today 5/14 to May 28, sorry about that ladies.
So here is my interpretation. I used it the way it is shown, but you can turn it on its side as long as we can still see the original sketch in there.
I used a digital stamp from Mo's digital pencil, how cute is she and sassy! The sentiment is from Graphicat. I think they go well together. I colored her with my copics. I made the flowers with my punches and an itty bitty rhinestones. The buttons and string I just had in my stash.
So go on now and get crafting, it is fun and easy to follow a sketch. You can use any image you like.
Go check out the other DT members creations and you will be filled with inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
2 Sisters challenge: Make it Girlie.
DP2: Tickle My funny bone
Crafty Ribbons: flowers
Crafting for all Seasons: Handmade flowers.

Spring Colors
Hi Everyone,
Happy Mother's Day! I hope you are all enjoying your day. I know I am, just relaxing with the family!
So today over at Whoopsi Daisy we have a new challenge going on, it is Spring Colors! How appropriate for now when everything is growing and in bloom.
My card I used a Whoopsi Daisy image from Sheet 340. How cute is she? Now you do not have to use a Whoopsi Daisy image, but if you do you get a bigger prize! So there is some great incentive to use one of these adorable images.
I colored this cutie using Copic Markers and added some sparkle to her top and socks. The paper I used is from a 6 x 6 pack from Jillibean Soup. The sentiment is a rubber stamp not sure from where, it is not marked. The flowers are Prima and Recollections. Used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies. I think she is very sweet.
I am entering her in the following challenges:
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges: Love You Mom
Fussy and Fancy Friday: Butterflies, ribbon and punches
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Kim
Thanks for all the lovely comments too! You ladies are so kind!

Hope you like her.

New Baby
Hi Everyone,
Hope all is well. So no the new baby is not mine, that would be a true miracle. My daughter's co-worker just had a new baby boy! So nice to have a new baby, it is their first so you can imagine the excitement. Needless to say she asked me to make a card. I wish I could crochet because when I had my babies, my mom made me the most beautiful blankets and sweater sets. I don't know too many people that still do that, too bad because they were gorgeous.
Oh well, enough of my rambling. Today's card I used a digi I had from Funky Kits called Bambino. I have only used this image twice and both times it was for a boy, I must try a girl one soon.
The paper is from Cloud 9 Design and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado ( I love that name). I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border. The ribbon I had (I think it came off a package I got). The little charm I won.
I feel like the colors are not great in this picture, they are really pretty in person.
Thanks for stopping by I appreciate it.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
Paper Pretties: use a Ribbon
Cute Card Thursday: one for the boys
Emerald Faeries: anything goes
Have a great day!

This card I made just for fun. I just like this image. It is from Kenny K. The paper is from TPC Studio called So delish. I also used some from Echo Park Dots and Stripes.
Short and sweet for me today. I am off to make some cards I need for next month, busy time of year!
I am entering this card in the following challenge:

Glad you could drop by! Take care. Thanks

Birthday Wishes
Hello Everyone,
A special hello and Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law Dora! You are the best!
So I will not tell everyone how hold my lovely sister in law is, just will say that she is older than me haha! Hope you have a great day.
I made this card with her in mind, of course I have not mailed it, sorry Dora hehe! But you will see it looks just like you!
The image is a digi from Kenny K. I colored her with copics. The paper is from Authentique a 6 x 6 bundle. The Flowers I made with a punch from Martha Stewart. The sentiment I typed myself.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I may do a little shopping at my favorite store "Absolutely Everything in Topsfield". They are having some fun specials this weekend because Saturday is National Scrapbook Day.

Purple fun
Hi Everyone,
Mid week, half way to the weekend. It has been freezing here, we had nicer weather in March, go figure! Anyway I am excited, a friend of mine hosted an online party from Close To My Heart and I ordered some stuff, which just came in! Can't wait to play around with it...Thanks Queenie for inviting me to take part in the fun!
Today's card I made with a new digital image from KennyK downloads called Jasmine, she is very cool! I just ordered a few new digis. Now at what point do I worry that I have an addiction? HAHAHA. How many is too many? At the moment I have about 100 digital stamps, now seriously a lot of them were freebies. What about you, do you think a 100 is a lot or not?
The paper is from Bo Bunny. The flowers are Prima. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Stampendous. The ribbon I won from my friend Natali, thanks Natali, did not take me long to use it hehe! The circle is a nestabilities die. The butterfly is from prima. The rest is from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like what you see!.
