Celebrate Good Times

Hi Everyone,

First,, I hope everyone had a very wonderful Christmas! I sure did. Secondly I apologize again for not being around much, especially to my fellow DT members. I have been spending some quality time with the family and extended family. Tough to squeeze it all in. But I have thought of all of you and hope you are as fortunate as me to have a caring, fun family.

Yes this post was suppose to be out this morning, and no I am not the least bit organized haha! Here's hoping to a more organized new year!

Today at Pixie Dust Studio we have a new challenge "Celebration" any celebration will do, birthday, baby, new year, well you get the idea.

Here is my card that I got done just in the nick of time.

How absolutely adorable is he? Naturally I colored him with my Copics. You can use any stamp you like but would love it if you used a Pixie Dust Stamp.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Seeing Double

Good Morning,

First I would like to say thank you to all my wonderful followers and their lovely comments. It is always nice to know there are so many kind people in the world. I would also like to wish you all Happy Holidays for whatever holiday you celebrate may you enjoy family time and a little relaxation!

Today at Sweet Stampin' we have a new challenge:  Seeing Double. This was tough for me because I thought it would have to be a stamped image, then realized hello you can use two of anything on your card.

So here is mine. I had this colored for a while and had just not posted it. She is called Heidi from Wee Stamps.

I used two snowflakes, two ribbons, she has two bows, get the idea hehe!

We have two sponsors, our weekly sponsor is Letraset and our monthly sponsor is Joanna Sheen.
I hope you will find the time to join us this week. Just remember to make sure you stamp something.

Thanks again and have a happy holiday!

Underneath the Mistletoe

Good Morning Everyone,

Sorry I have not posted much or been around, but like the rest of you I have just been too darn busy! Love this time of year, but don't always get to do every thing I hope to or want to, just not enough hours in the day, if you know what I mean.

So today at Pixie Dust Studio, the newest challenge is Non Traditional Colors for Christmas. This was fun, a bit of a break from red and green. Here is my creation, how cute are these love birds?

Of course I colored them with copics, added some sparkle to the bows and hat. Cute and simple.

I hope you will enter one of your cards. You can use any image, be we especially like it if you use a Pixie Dust Image.

Thanks for stopping by and if you do not stop by again before next week, have a great holiday!

RED AND GREEN

Good Morning!
Hope we are all hanging in there. This time of year gets a bit crazy, our schedules become over loaded, we get tired and wonder how we are going to get it all done. Well we will, we do and we can hahaha! I have a great attitude this year, just letting the small stuff slide and enjoying family and friends. Life is way to short to waste any of it complaining so here I am, over booked, over tired, over worked but still smiling!!!! Hope you are too.

This week at Pixie Dust Studio our challenge is an easy one so no stressing, it is Traditional Christmas colors. Now I chose red and green but you can choose whatever traditional means to you. You can use any stamp but we get very excited when you use a Pixie Dust image. Check out my cute guy.

I colored him with Copics of course. then added some fun stickles and sparkles on the snowflake and holly leaves. Hope he does not get too close to the fire hehe!

So if you have the time to craft for a bit you know to destress, then enter this fun challenge. Thanks.

Snowflakes

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope we are all well. I am doing wonderful. Going away this weekend with my husband, just the two of us for a little relaxation before the holiday rush. It is a  nice break for the two of us. We get to be pampered and shop all weekend while enjoying a great dinner that some one else cooks and cleans up after! What is better than that.

So today over at Pixie Dust Studio we have a new challenge called Snowflakes and  Sparkle. Very appropriate for this time of year, you know when the snow is new and fresh and it sparkles. As opposed to March when I hate it, am sick of it and it is dirty haha!

I hope you will join us in this challenge. You can use any image but we really, really, really like it when you use a Pixie Dust image. Just check out my card and see how cute these images are. She is part of the new Christmas stamps.

Of course I colored her with my favorite markers, copics! Added lots of Stickles for some sparkle and the snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch.

Look forward to seeing what you do!

Winter Holiday

Good Morning Everyone,

A special hello to my newest followers! Welcome! I hope you visit often, I love company hehe!

I am sure everyone is starting to get into the winter holiday mood. The cleaning, shopping, decorating, etc. It is fun isn't it? I have my house half decorated. My husband is doing the outside this weekend and I hope to finish up with the inside by Sunday, then we just have to wait to cut down our tree, it is too early for us right now.

So today at Pixie Dust Studio, our new challenge is just that, "Winter Holiday". So that can be any holiday you might celebrate this winter. You can use any image, but we would LOVE it if you used a Pixie Dust image.

Here is what I came up with:

Now in no way does this cute guy represent me!!! I love Christmas! I colored him with copics and added some Stickles to his hat and pants. Also added some Snow Writer to his fur trim. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Catslife Press. The ornaments and lights were rub ons.

So I hope you will enter our challenge, I would love to see what you come up with.

Flowers

Good Morning Friends,
Hope everyone is doing fine. I am excited that it is officially the start of the holiday season. Already started my shopping yesterday. Will be decorating my house today, love to do that. I put on the Christmas CD's to create the mood and then go to town. I have one tree up in my dining room, but our family room we put up a real tree so that has to wait a bit longer. I just love this time of year.

So today over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge we have a new challenge for you, it is FLOWERS! Oh that is right up my alley. I would put flowers on every card if possible. They can be paper, hand made, store bought, etc. you get the idea. I did a birthday card, but you could use poinsettias and make a Christmas card. So go out your flowers!

Before I show you my card we  have two sponsors again. Our weekly sponsor is giving away 2 digis of your choice, and that sponsor is:

Our second sponsor is our monthly sponsor:

Here is what I came up with:

The stamp is from Sugar Nellie which I colored of course with my Copics. I used my Marvy Punch and a Nestabilities die to make the circle and the scallop circle. the flowers were from my stash and I even added a flower charm.
So let's see what you can do.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Polka Doodles: Any die will do
Cute Card Thursday:  Girls Only
Crafts and Me Challenges:  circles
Fab and Funky Challenges:  Birthday and 3 of something (3gems, 3 pearls)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thankful

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you are all fine. It is that time of  year when we start thinking about what we are thankful for. For me the list could go on an on....my husband, children, house, jobs, family, health, etc. I am a lucky girl and I try not to forget that each day!

So on that upbeat note, today's challenge at Pixie Dust Studio is Thanksgiving or Thankful, which ever you prefer. Now you don't have to use a Pixie Dust Stamp but we sure love it when you do. So I hope you will join us in this challenge.

Here is my happy girl!

I colored her with my Copics of course, but I am hooked on lime green and red lately. We just put up 1 of our 2 Christmas trees and I decorated it with the same colors hmmm.

I look forward to seeing what you are thankful for.

Speaking of spectacular....Fall Colors...the new challenge for us today at Pixie Dust Studio. How easy is that, so many colors of fall.

Check out my creation...

I used this adorable digital image from Pixie Dust Studio Shop called Fall Fairy. She is so cute with her leafy outfit. I colored her with my favorite markers Copics. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Inkadinkado.
I added some Stickles, my other favorite, to give it some sparkle. Top it off with some flowers and pearls and there you go!

Great Nephews

Hello Friends,

Today I made a card for my great nephew who is turning 2 this week. Amazing, I can remember when  his father was 2. Why is it, that should make me feel old but my brain says "Hey you are still young!" HAHAHAHA!

Well in any event, I do enjoy seeing my nieces and nephews with children of their own. It is all good even if it does make me a bit older!

This image is called Bathtime Cooper. I actually won him from Paper Pretties during a challenge. This is the first time I used him though and he is sooo cute! I colored him with Copics, added a cute little rubber duck charm because what is a bath without a rubber duck. Also put lots of stickles on the bubbles and added some of my own 3 dimensional bubbles. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the tag and EK success punch for the photo corners.

My kids used to love bath time, come on who wouldn't love to soak in a tub for a bit.

I am entering him in the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge:  Men only (any age)
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge:  Stripes (my paper)
Clear it Out Challenge:  Anything Goes (I made this from all scraps)
Here come the Boys: diecuts and punches

Christmas Fairy

Hello Everyone!
Hope we are all doing well. I am doing just fine! It was another wonderful weekend, cannot get enough of those. Spent some time with my charming husband and even managed a dinner with my oldest daughter, who these days is always busy.

Well this month is already off and running, before you know it, it will be that wonderful time of the year....yup Christmas! Which leads me to the new challenge today at Whoopsi Daisy, you guessed it Christmas.

So here is my creation:

She is a cute little Christmas Fairy from Sheet 284.  I colored her with copics and added lots of Stickles and glitter. Has a rather vintage feel to it with the colors I chose.

I hope you will join us in this challenge, if you use a Whoopsi Daisy Image you get two sheets of digis if you win. You can still enter with another image but if you win you only get one sheet. Go check this out for a free digi. Now you have no excuses hehe! Get creating.

Leaves, leaves, leaves!

Good Morning Everyone!
So we survived an awful Hurricane, that Sandy was nasty! Those poor people in New York and New Jersey will be cleaning up for a long time to come. As for us, just a bunch of naked trees and a whole lot of leaves in our yard! Thank Goodness. Thanks to all of you who inquired about me during the Hurricane, but I was never in any real danger just waiting for it to pass and hoping we kept our power which we did.

So that brings me to our Challenge this week at Pixie Dust Studio, it is Leaves! I know, how appropriate, right. So the last time I had to do a challenge with leaves I struggled a bit, this time, it came easier because I took it out  of the Autumn content and used it differently.I am pleased with how this card came out.

I use this adorable image from Pixie Dust Studio called Just Lion Around. I colored him with Copics, of course! The leaf scroll is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs, the small leaves are a Martha Stewart Punch, the flowers I made using a Memory Box Die , I also used a Marvy punch scallop circle, EK success punch for the photo corners, Spellbinders dies for the eyelet circle and banner.

I hope you will join us and come up with something creative using leaves. They can be in your image, on your paper, etc. I look forward to seeing your creations.

Thanks,
Kim

Surviving the Hurricane!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope all my east coast neighbors are surviving the hurricane. We are pretty good so far, still have our power not too much water just a whole lot of wind. But work and school has been cancelled all around so everyone is home with me today which is nice.

So before I show you what I have been crafting I wanted to share a Halloween Picture with you. My husband and I went to a Halloween Fundraiser party dressed as a flapper and a gangster. I thought we looked good!

It was a lot of fun. It is always fun to dress up. Hope you have a little laugh at this!

As for my card today, I colored sweet Tilda with copics. I used a sparkle glitter paper in the background, added Stickles to her hat and coat trim. Some more Stickles on the snow and some shimmer spray on the white paper. You cannot see it well in the picture but it sparkles and shimmers!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time:  Make 1 for Christmas

What's cooking..not me!

Good Morning,

Hope everyone is fine today. What a busy week, my youngest daughter turned 23 on Monday! Where does that time go? I had to get some Halloween costumes ready as at work today we dress up and I am also going to a costume party tomorrow night. If I am brave I will post a picture hmmm maybe hehe. In between I had to have a repair out to fix my dining room table, I also had some new furniture delivered, drove the inlaws to doctors appointments, worked two jobs, cleaned the house, did the laundry, well you get the picture because I am sure most of you are doing the same. Don't know how I manage to squeak out a few cards but I do, it is my relaxation time.

So today at Sweet Stampin' we have new challenge called What's cooking. That right anything related to cooking. It can be an image, the paper, sentiment, embellies. As long as you use a stamp somewhere.

Once again we have two generous sponsors, they are:

Our Monthly sponsor:

And our Weekly Sponsor WHIMSY STAMPS

So for my card I thought this image was appropriate as this is what you would do with my meatballs as I am a terrible cook haha! Of course it helps that my husband is a great cook.

My stamp is from the The Stamp Basket and I colored her with copics. My paper is call So Delish, Everything but the kitchen sink.

I  hope you will check out your supplies and join us in this fun challenge.

Halloween

Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. I am at a craft show today, it is only my second time selling my cards and I am a bit nervous. I love giving my cards away, but to actually charge for them, I know people will be much more critical. Oh well it is for a good cause, it is a fundraiser, awareness type of symposium to help stop human trafficking. So even if I don't sell one card at least my donation may help haha.

Today at Whoopsi Daisy we have a new challenge and it is HALLOWEEN! So I think you either love it or ignore it hehe! I love all the colors of Halloween, not to mention the chocolate...but I am not a big fan of the gross scary stuff. So my card is a sweet little witch from Whoopsi Daisy sheet 373.

I colored her with my copics and used some great black sparkly paper. I love the flower colors with this card. I used some Stickles too for even more glitter.

So lets see what you can do. If you use a Whoopsi Daisy image your prize doubles, so that is a great incentive to go check out these sweet images. You still may enter with another image but you only get one sheet of images instead of two.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Card Making Mamas: Time to get Spooky
Crafting For all Seasons:  Spooky
Crafty Catz Challenge:  Halloween
Cute Card Thursday:  Got glitter

Bag Lady

Hello Everyone,

Had such a great day today. Slept in a bit then had some pancakes for breakfast. Crafted the afternoon away while my husband cooked. Got to love a man that cooks! He made beef stew, fresh baked bread, chicken, potatoes and peppers so good. Both my girls were home for dinner which is a rare occasion, very nice day!

So I made these cute little bags for a craft fair I am going to, let me know what you think. They were so simple that I am starting to worry that they are not good enough hehe. I guess if I don't stress over a project, I stress that I did not stress, you know what I mean?

The actual figures were from martha Stewart, they are adhesive diet cuts. The rest I used my dies to cut the fence, ghosts, bird. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the spider webs and branches.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge:  anything goes
Allsorts Challenge:  Too cute to spook.

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Leaves/Trees

Good Morning!
Today at Sweet Stampin' we have a new challenge and it is "Autumn Leaves/Trees". Now I must tell you I had quite a struggle with this one. But once I really thought about it, I stressed about nothing. Before we get to my card we have two sponsors as usual. They are:

Our monthly sponsor is once again Joanna Sheen.

Our weekly sponsor this time is Lili of the Valley.

And here is my card. I used a rubber stamp that I have had for a while from Stampin Up. I stamped the trees and then used my copics to dot some color on the leaves and branches to make it look more fall like. The leafy branch is a Sizzix die that I find I use quite often. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from a group of stamps from Recollections.

So think about it get your your leaf paper, tree stamps, autumn stamps, etc and make something great. I would love to see what you come up with. In the meantime, for some more inspiration go to Sweet Stampin' and see what the DT girls have done, you will be impressed.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Shop Til You Drop

Hello Everyone,

So I feel like lately I am constantly running around like a crazy woman! Why does it seem like you have weeks on end with nothing happening then everything happens at once. So I took another part time job on top of my other job, which I love but those extra hours a week seem to have put me behind everywhere else.
Not to mention I have had to shop up a storm for some work clothes, fall clothes, etc. So today's card is appropriate since next we will all be out shopping for the holidays!

I used an adorable digi stamp from Kenny K and colored her with Copic markers. The paper is from Bo Bunny. The poinsettia is a die from Marianne Designs which I just bought and l love.

I am entering her in the following challenges:

Crafts and Me:  anything Goes
Gem of a Challenge:  For the Girls
Crafty Sentiments Design: anything goes
Incy wincy:  Anything goes

Thanks,

Kim

Pixie time

Good Morning Friends

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing fine. So I live in Topsfield, home of like one of the biggest, oldest, agricultural fairs around and it has done nothing but rain since the fair has opened. How awful is that? I am so sick of looking at the rain. Everyone wants to go enjoy the fair but it is so wet out.

Well anyway, it is good to be able to stay in and craft so I guess there is an upside to everything. I will ask you all though, I am doing a craft show on Sunday, October 21 and was looking for suggestions on how to best display my cards. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well on to my post this week is for Pixie Dust Studio and it is an all time favorite:  Anything Goes!
Well now that was easy wasn't it. Here is my card using one of the cutest Pixie Dust Images.

Ballerinas are my favorite! I colored her with Copics and used lots of glitter and stickles on her outfit. I used a star charm since she is the star of the show hehe!

I hope you will enter one of your own great creations and check out what the other challenge team members have created. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

i am entering this card in the following challenges:

Lollipop Crafts:  Something old, something new (Old ribbon, charm and paper, new flowers)

Vintage maybe

Good Morning Everyone,

Today there is a new challenge at Sweet Stampin', it is Vintage! So get out your distressing tools, your gorgeous papers, lace, pearls, etc and get crafting. Of course don't forget to stamp somewhere on your creation.

We as usual, have two wonderful sponsors, our weekly sponsor this week is Crafty ribbons.

And our monthly sponsor is once again the wonderful Joanna Sheen.

So come on now a chance at two wonderful prizes you must enter now!
For my card I used a Tilda Magnolia Stamp, I just lover her, she is the sweetest. I colored her with copics and used some glitter on her hat and fur trim. The papers I used were from Teresa Collins, I thought the muted colors and design had a nice vintage feel. I am not that great at vintage but I think you get the point. I distressed the edges and used some distress ink to make the papers look old. I love the velvet bow, I thought it was the perfect accessory hehe!

So hop on over to Sweet Stampin' and see what the other DT members have created and then let us see something of yours.
Thanks for stopping by.

Color me

Good Morning Everyone,

Today over at Pixie Dust Challenge we have a color challenge. You must use these colors in your creations either your image or papers, etc, you get the idea! Fortunately, they are Halloween colors too so it is a good excuse to get your Halloween cards done.

I used this sweet Pixie Dust Image called Pixie Boo that you can purchase here. I colored her with copics. I used a rubber stamp from Recollections for the sentiment. I added some glitter stickles to her hair bow. The flower and ribbon is from Iva Nova Chest, a great online store with beautiful ribbons, flowers and charms. Excellent customer service too!

I hope you will stop by Pixie Dust Studio and check out what the other challenge team members have created. Then you may be inspired to come up with your own idea, we would love to see it!

Thanks for stopping by. I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Creative Inspiration:  BINGO  (Flowers, glitter, stamp)
Simon Says Stamp:  anything goes

Pumpkin a Fruit?

Hi Everyone,

So I was deciding which challenge to enter my card in when I saw Kenny K was doing a Fruity challenge, so I had to look up is Pumpkin a fruit or a vegetable? I guess it depends who you ask, but I am going with fruit as google told me it was ok hehehehe!

I hope you like my card, I used a Kenny K image and a stamp from Inkadinkadoo. I love the two together.

The cat and fence are a die cut from Spellbinders and the paper I had in my scrap pile. Hope you like her, she is not your average trick or treater!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Love to Create Challenge:  anything goes.
Kenny K Krafty Krew:  Fruity (yes pumpkin is a fruit)
ATC and Cards with Attitude:  anything goes
Paper Play Challenges:  Choose a Holiday.

Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to voice your opinion on fruit or vegetable!

Things with Wings

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am so enjoying this beautiful New England fall weather, it has been lovely. Hope everyone else is having great weather too!

So today at Whoopsi Daisy we have a new challenge, THINGS WITH WINGS. Now this could be anything with a wing on it, fairies, butterflies, birds, you get the idea. But remember if you use a Whoopsi Daisy image you can enter with any card as long as it is a new creation with one of these lovely images. If you don't have a Whoopsi Daisy image you can still enter and win but your prize doubles if you use a Whoopsi Daisy image.

So here is my card:

I used an image from Sheet 284, I though she was a cutie. I colored her with Copics. Made a step card which is always fun. I stamped the snowflakes on the red cardstock and added a pearl to them. I used memory box dies and a joy clear stamp. Added some stickles and there you go.

I would  love to see your creations so I hope you will enter our challenge especially using one of these great images to double your prize!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations:  Christmas in September
Crafting For all Seasons:  things with wings
